Don t think Chris would do MP due to deman, idk, becuase then i guess he would had already said for a while he would do it as i bet since the beggining of it a lot asked for it, and if Chris does something solely from it s demand i guess when looking at the multiple features would be... lets just say weird xD.

what if those who wanted MP to be in the game donated the required funds to Chris so he can hire another staff member to work on it or whatever he needs. Im sure most people only really want Lan or to be able to use their own computer as a host machine, so we wouldnt need a dedicated server for MP or anything like that.
Ofcourse its up to Chris if anything happens at all.

Maybe some day we'll see a coop mod rise up, look at Skyrim ^^

yes but imagine how many more hours people would spend playing skyrim if they could enter into the world of another player.
This feature is IMO one of the bigger selling points to minecraft, minecraft was great sure but being able to play co-op or even head to head in the same world. That sort of feature almost doubles sales

Dude there IS a coop mod for skyrim, making you able to enter the world of a player, lanstyle. check http://skyrim-online.com ^^
The mod is still worked on, but it's doable, even for a game that have been coded for single player at the beggining.

What I was saying is, there's always a chance that a coop mod pops up one day ^^ I cross my fingers

Me and my friend both are getting the game hopefully some time this week. We play most games co-op and if this were to have it it would top most games of its kind if any at all and that would bring in all new players to this game style. :D To do a co-op would be the best thing for this game at this point even if the update would be after the game were to come out after it is completed.
Add me on steam "SweetBoyJenkins" and i will play any co-op game if I'm on ask and we can play.

I will donate or pay extra for Multiplayer version. This game is very multiplayer version friendly as far as gameplay besides the pausing...which could be disabled for multi play.

Seriously just start working on an multiplayer version and make it paid only add on. I don't think you will have trouble getting your money back. The earlier such a thing is started the easier, get in early on the coding.

Even how nice this feature would be, the main priority must be singleplayer. And if this would be able to implement later on - It's very much welcome.

it would be sooo sick, like me and a friend played togther each player could a certain amount of units each the research and credits would be shared so would the buildings so for example one mate could focus on research and building whilst the other could focus mainly on warfare making it alot more fun and easy and such.

Neverwinter Nights had the ability to pause in SP, it also had the option to disable player pausing in multiplayer settings. I personally love the ability to pause, as it makes it easier to target incoming raids, give units orders, and decide if I should haul some serious anus.

On topic: I would absolutely love this game with co-op. I know that I could get 3 of my buddies to buy this game if it ever had co-op.

I'm not a expert in this area so correct me if i'm wrong.

Is possible to simply "attach" the border of the maps so u have only one? o.o with the late fast travel implementation the distance between player does not matter (this is the first idea).

The second idea is host the squad of the other player and create a save only for co-op wich is accesible only with the host present and the save is on the 2 computers (1 save for player so the other player cannot use the host character), u can have 2 squad (1 for player), and u can build 2 cities, and u can attack the other player...or u two can enter in the same "faction" wich mean u are ally but indipendent and u can't control the host because he is in another squad however he can see u as an ally.(u can use a simple sub-menu for this). The AI attack is between Faction so if it is true that YOU have the same right as a NPC the AI see u for what u are: A enemy.

(Sorry sorry can't write very well in English. I hope i was clear).

i think multi player mode would be possible but it would require some changes first of all there would have to be an option for both co-op/pve and pvp. both would need the char limit at 1 to help reduce lag i also think in these games building should be turned off or at least given only to 1 person. there nothing wrong with a bunch of people working together to build a town but no 2 people want it built the same way anyone who plays mine craft multi player will understand this.

i also think towns should change slightly there should be empty towns in pvp that the goal is to capture and defend while others try to siege it off you
and for pve towns controlled by canibals witch are already in the game and the goal is to kill the leader in witch he holds a key for a box to loot for a special weapon/armour

but for any of this to be possible id say it would need a server but we dont wanna deter to far from what makes this game good sevral people like playing the game as a 1 man army and these are the people that would get the most out of multiplayer

you do know that the core program and module the Dev used makes making Kenshi MP basically impossible right?

The easiest way to make kenshi MP is basically starting over from scratch.
Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.
Then Men would become unmanageable

Actually it is not (atleast in my opinion)
A shitload of NPCs would have to be synced. Also you would have to sync the speed of time. Sure it is possible, but what if one wants to play with 1x speed and the other one needs 4x at the moment?
A co-op mode would be nice.. but at the same time I don't want one because right now Kenshi is immersive as fuck. With a friend it just wouldn't be the same..
