Combat and Death Blows
I would like to see the ability for one hit kills for character at a high level and are using high quality weapons (very elite characters) that one blow can take out a much lesser opponent.
Also, when someone (player and AI) are knocked unconscious I'd like the ability to deliver a "finish him" blow and they simply kill him instead of allowing him to regain consciousness and attack you again later.
During combat and running in general it'd be cool to see characters slip and fall from time to time and have to scurry to their feet, perhaps playing into dexterity, strength (with how much they are carrying), and their attack/defense balance. Would be interesting.

im sure that you can already do this, one member posted how he has a character who 1 hits with heavy weapons. just gota be real about it, takes timeDregen wrote:I would like to see the ability for one hit kills for character at a high level and are using high quality weapons (very elite characters) that one blow can take out a much lesser opponent.
quote me if im wrong but im pretty sure this was confirmed to be in the game, Killing people that is.Dregen wrote:when someone (player and AI) are knocked unconscious I'd like the ability to deliver a "finish him" blow and they simply kill him instead of allowing him to regain consciousness and attack you again later.
It wont be so "FATALITY!" like, it will simply be that you killed someone and it will have dire consequences with that faction and others. But yes, you can do it later.
you can create this yourself using the open mod, but i think would be good if done correctly.Dregen wrote:During combat and running in general it'd be cool to see characters slip and fall from time to time and have to scurry to their feet, perhaps playing into dexterity, strength (with how much they are carrying), and their attack/defense balance. The down side of this i think is that it puts to much focus on the limbs, we already have amputation coming. What effects for when other areas take to much dmg, organ replacement or something?

True it could take awhile, but it would be nice.
Currently I've see character die..they never reach the -100 mark to die but instead of unconscious it shows dead. To go along with that and needing to save and reload at times for characters who should have regained their consciousness to do so..I'll just go with are early test issues that will definitely be worked out.

for a character to die, all they need is there blood to get -75
so keep an eye on your guys, because often when they fall down they can be bleeding at a level of 6+
and that will kill them if you dont win the fight and stop the bleeding fast

I guess you mean me, but i was not mad xD, was just saying the stuff from waht i heard, btw Isles where you saw the final blow be planned feature? Not saying is not just didn t found somehwere.mehelsel wrote:I once made a request similar to this, but many people said it probably would come in the game very late, one guy got mad at me, but I dunno why XD
I actually thought the opoiste as in a Chris interview if i am not wrong now he said, die will be hard, and to have a final blow will make it relatively easy once you kock someone down because of..
And yeah is already possible to KO people with one blow, i heard someone had doene so with an fragment axe and high ammount of strength.kuzjin wrote:You understand that the enemies will also be able to use the fatality on you? )))
and because they smear on the wall of your favorite character

Sounds kinda silly to be honest random falls xD, i guess in a chase it could happen as you more focused on the target than the ground, so then wouldn t be so bad in my opinion, guess would depend on atletics and dexety tho, heavy bags i guess would rather make an harder fall as it falls on you, but redue fall chance as you cna t run so fast due to weight.Dregen wrote:During combat and running in general it'd be cool to see characters slip and fall from time to time and have to scurry to their feet, perhaps playing into dexterity, strength (with how much they are carrying), and their attack/defense balance. It s Hbrown!! Gotta get some pies!
Very well aware and that's what should happen in a realistic world. If an enemy is down on the ground in the middle of a 20 year war...are you going to let them get up to attack you later? No. I'm fine with this happening to my characters as well.kuzjin wrote:You understand that the enemies will also be able to use the fatality on you? )))

They could be taken prisoner or killed on sight..as of now player characters aren't even looted when down.
I love how this went from... "kind of silly" to "well it does make sense" :phbrown wrote: Sounds kinda silly to be honest random falls xD, i guess in a chase it could happen as you more focused on the target than the ground, so then wouldn t be so bad in my opinion, guess would depend on atletics and dexety tho, heavy bags i guess would rather make an harder fall as it falls on you, but redue fall chance as you cna t run so fast due to weight.
Sorry but when you first mentioned that i had a thought of some small girl fall anime, but as i said was mostly, normally running, focusing on destination alone would be weird to see random fall, but in combat would be more "likely", as you are focused mostly on your target/oponent than rather your feet and suroundings and might have a higher tendency of fall.

I don't think the developer ever made a comment on the killing blow thing but as the ai gets better and ranged weapons get introduced your going to be glad that they can't, otherwise every game you start will end pretty quickly. The more likely thing to happen is your guys will be taken as slaves and you can do the same to the enemy.
As for the 1 hit KO thing, happens pretty frequently that I get a body part to -100 or something like that in one shot, instantly knocking the guy down if it isn't a limb and if it is a limb in the future i will be dismembering opponents with every blow.

Yeah one hit Kill is definitely a thing http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... 80&p=18611
If you're running from enemies and your characters get tired, I could see it happen as well.hbrown wrote:Sorry but when you first mentioned that i had a thought of some small girl fall anime, but as i said was mostly, normally running, focusing on destination alone would be weird to see random fall, but in combat would be more "likely", as you are focused mostly on your target/oponent than rather your feet and suroundings and might have a higher tendency of fall.
I actually want that to be a possibility as you will be able to hire characters and build yourself up. As of right now it seems a bit lacking to not take someone prisoner or kill them if they are unconscious knowing they are going to come back at you later. I kind of want that layer in the game as it does make it more interesting and makes characters more cautious.Marilous wrote:I don't think the developer ever made a comment on the killing blow thing but as the ai gets better and ranged weapons get introduced your going to be glad that they can't, otherwise every game you start will end pretty quickly. i read something clawdius said about there being something where if you killed someone how it would have such an impact of factions and stuff like that.hbrown wrote:btw Isles where you saw the final blow be planned feature?
it might have been in the off topic section near where i read about your best moments playing kenshi, one person had posted their best moment was when they could 1 hit kill with blunt weapons.
im really to lazy to look for the post again, if your lucky maybe clawdius will link it

Oh i rememebr to see that then, but i don t think he was talking as a feature but as a possiblity, not sure anyway.
And yeah, when they tire they either walk or fall to the ground, being the second one more likely especially after running from a group of bandits aiming their blades at you.

Exactly, it could even be to the point of gaining extra Cats in the arena for cutting down opponents who are lying unconscious; If surrendering was in the game, you could have a moral choice to cut down a opponent who yields in cold blood!Dregen wrote:I just would see no logic in the final product where I couldn't use a "final blow" on a fallen or unconscious blow...if they do it to me? Shrug..should have planned that battle out better.
