squad wages
Sorry if its known or what ever.
but seriously i have nothing to spend my catas on , and seriously your gunna find a guy at a bar pay 700 catas and hes gunna spend the rest of his life risking it for you for that little bit?
i think there should be some monthly biweekly or some sort of "wage" for your members the better they are the more it cost .... it will force people to interact more with the game to get money to pay the wages instead of mindlessly running around face stomping stuff lol.

what about diplomacy? maybe spend 10k cats to get the holy empire off your back for a bit? or offer bounties for high level enemies to start a faction war with other factions?
Did you mean to post in this? I don't get the relevance. If you want to add a note about diplomacy type diplomacy in the search bar and you'll find a thread about what your talking about.philthymcnasty wrote:what about diplomacy? maybe spend 10k cats to get the holy empire off your back for a bit? or offer bounties for high level enemies to start a faction war with other factions?
i thought about it and maybe alittle more like this
Basic wage : aka idle 10 catas per day
Farmer wage : 25 catas
Miner wage : 25 catas
Guard wage : 50 catas
Medic wage : 100
and depending on their relevant skill for each type of job you have them doing you have to pay more
Like a starting medic might only be like 60 but a maxed out medic might be like 150 catas .... but if you have like Medic / Guard two jobs set to permanent then you'd be paying both wages are maybe at a slightly reduced rate since its more then one?

the point i was trying to make, but utterly failed to make
From the look of whats implemented, the price goes up the more a resource is bought. This means that building your first base will become expensive real fast. I believe that the price for building a base has been kept low on purpose so that we can play around with the building and jobs aspects of the game for testing reasons.
This is important when considering that you might not have the income for wages once base construction begins, and when the enemy sack your base ai is implemented, building a base will be pretty difficult.
Also ancient samurai were paid in food, land, and sometimes money. however i am suspicious that we will be having to pay our guys with water once dehydration is implemented. or cybernetics when arm hacking is implemented.
yes alot of the cost is kept low atm because like you said its a alpha and people are testing game and what not.philthymcnasty wrote:Marilous wrote:Did you mean to post in this? the point i was trying to make, but utterly failed to makeis that the game is still in alpha build, and everything is not yet implemented. We do not know what the finial prices will be once the finial economy is finished.

but its really easy to make money in this game and like i said before keeping them idle would greatly reduce the cost but yea i still see the need for some kinda "wage" needing to be implemented and i haven't seen anything from Chris saying as much that there would be

Maybe you can just look at it as a big commune...
I get that its in testing so wages might get in the way, but I also was under the impression bases came last. The trailer and the presteam release hype all pointed to owning shops as a latter thing. As of right now we just seem to be testing base construction, and management. You can kind of trade, but fighting with out the manufactured weapons is like a toddler trying to climb up to the top cabinet to get the cookies, it can happen but it takes so much work and your gonna fall a couple times.
Even with wages, you can probably loot dead bandits and pay for wages for 10 men easy. Only thing it might make you do is test the rest of the game since you would have to send out a looting party once ever 6 hours like you did when you got the rest of your worker *CENSORED* for your base building. Their is way more potential to this then base building every forgets that because that is how the patches have been going, and frankly when I shared with some clan mates the only ones who got it saw a base building trailer and wanted that, not the sand box exploring or fighting they wanted to make a base.
Me I've got enough base building games, ones that are also alpha and require food, and drink which makes wages look so simple its not funny to accomplish. I am pro wages, not sure how it would go in, but would also make it so we need to revisit character sheets, you know the core of even the base building the guys with the stats to work it.

There is a post somewhere from Chris, i don t rcall where, i looked before but did not found, which he explained in so why not wages, when you taking it as wages you thinking of guards, someone working for you, which in here is not the case, the recruit system will change, idk how didn t saw any post, but he said there of sorts.
"This are not guards which you will be paying for, they are rather people with similar goals which joined together"
Was something more complex but i don t recall fully, if someone do they might post or place here. I acutally don t mind the wages ideas, however they wouldn t become your "chars", following the idea above, but they would be simply npcs which would be doing the work you payed them for.
And looting be so much "profitable" i guess is just for now lol, you need to think on both things to the feature, and not for ow, as requestsare rather unlikely to be implemented right away if aproved.

but right now ... even once everything is implemented ... theres no real money sink in the game.
I mean tradeing unless you don't know squat about economics your always gunna turn a profit there is only gunna be a constant stream of revenue with nothing to spend it on.
And with half of the stuff being "automated" ... you don't have to worry about nothing really ... atleast if your forced to make sure your making enough cash to pay your men you can't just *click click click* leave town to automate its self or what ever
