How are we all? Good I hope.
I recently have been doing some mock GCSE stuff on Roman Public health as well as evolution in medicine. As you may of guessed the Medici (med-I-chi) are a roman lot (ex-soldiers of the empire) who have knowledge on battle wounds from past experience, cuts , stab wounds and severed heads that sort of thing and know how to fix you up. Anyway they went around selling their knowledge for cash which gave me an idea...
A faction that you can pay to save your butt when its being kicked they will fix you up and defend you (they knew how to fight, ex-soldiers) in desperate times for a few cats.
This could be useless to squads but very useful for those who play as 1-2 people. They could also be merchants as well flogging medicine and herbs to cure the ill I also imagine when quests are added they could give some out...
Medici Faction.

I think the medics guild (possibly a guild of people who offer their services to others) may sell their skills to the player.

*Wakes up after long time passed out from his previous battle*
Soldier- What the hell happened... Where am i?
Random Medic- I just saved you from death, i found you in the middle of the desert bleeding to death and brought you here to heal you.
Soldier- Oh wow that is really great of you, such a nice person.
Random Medic- Yes thank you... *light evil giggle*
Soldier-*looks around his pockets or bag* Where is my money and belongings?
Random Medic- Medicine is expensive you know..
Somehow that came to my mind when i started to read this...
____________
Actually that sounds a bit what the monks should or could do, at least a small patch when see a fallen person, they monks after all must not be good to their soul see someone down and just leave them be.
Do agree with this, i actually thought at the begin when i got the game or before (not sure time), that there was such a faction, could be a solution to the "dead-alive" situation when alone with -1 at the chest if you lucky enough to be crossed by them.

It s Hbrown!! Gotta get some pies!
Hehehe!
It seems fair on players to have this happen as I do this to fallen warriors, samurai, police etc.
I loot them then apply medicine. It would be kind of funny to see them give you a faulty medicine (on occasion) such as a potion to make your hair green or make the character really short or tall so that they would have to visit the plastic surgeon ( Presumably in the faction) to sort you out for a "reasonable" price.
