Beast Caravan!!!!
So Lindas designs for the beasts are pretty badass. I was up this morning thinking about random stuff and I was like BEAST CARAVAN Buwahahahaha, but seriously I think it would be cool if some of the caravans and traders wondering around would ride some of these things and what nots. I drew a crude drawing really fast to kind of depict what im talking about, dont judge i did this fast.

Yeesssss!!! See now we're being open with this! Thats pretty badass I was thinking a giant beast moving city as well, but something like that would be awesome. A moving beast fortress or mercenary base would be the *CENSORED* knees, the cats meow! More people should hop on this and throw in some more input!
That will never happen unless someone mods it in. No humans in the game will be able to use any vehicle of sorts.Vesuvius wrote:Yeesssss!!! See now we're being open with this! I hope you seriously meant "vehicle" as a means of conveyance or transport instead of some type of motorized vehicle, because if you meant motorized vehicle then you seriously missed the title. Why does everyone want to come along on shit on everyone's day, instead of immediately saying "no" why don't we try and find a creative alternative. Like wondering traders who only have specific beast for traveling along with them that only they can use. Maybe not even ride on them, but holds all the goods like a pack mule.
Thing is, when you are suggesting things 99% of the time it has already been suggested. Mounts alone make up at least an tenth of them. And things like pack mules are ok, as they are neither vehicles nor mounts.Vesuvius wrote:I hope you seriously meant "vehicle" as a means of conveyance or transport instead of some type of motorized vehicle, because if you meant motorized vehicle then you seriously missed the title. Well, since we're going with that definition of gaming mounts, this suggestion should be completely valid. The only thing that is going to be "mounted" on this creature is inanimate buildings and stairs.skynet464 wrote:Thing is, when you are suggesting things 99% of the time it has already been suggested. Having animals that you would be able to build on while they're in a "hibernation mode" would be an interesting gaming mechanic. Of course said animals should be unable to die and only wander around during a set period of time. Hell, you could even include buildable clamps to keep it from moving.

If exactly what i'm suggesting has been suggested then maybe it needed to be suggested again or the idea(s) improved upon. Some ideas may need to be reiterated and improved upon because maybe they're actually good ideas . People may have forgotten about them or others may have downed them so much that they just lost momentum and didn't bother to expand and adapt.
haha this whole moving city is a pretty cool idea, but idk if this would be asking to much. Dont get me wrong it would be badass if there was such a city. Idk about being able to make your own that seems like asking even more lol.
Maybe back to the pack mule kind of beast idea, if there was some way to capture a certain type of beast and build storage containers on it and control it like a regular character "not meaning it could interact with things or attack people/ other creature" but could walk around where directed or set to follow a certain character and hold a large amount of items.

Scenario ~ Your'e waking into a town head over to the local bar, maybe you're looking to hire some new recruits maybe your'e there to drown out the memories of your slain enemies that haunt your dreams at night. While your'e there you begin conversation with a group of locals they start telling a tale of a mysterious city that disappears in the night, some say the city rips itself off of the earth and walks through the sands. Others say they're fools and such an amazing idea will never be in this game!RighteousSinner wrote: Well, since we're going with that definition of gaming mounts, this suggestion should be completely valid. If you wanted to avoid mounts but still have pack mules, maybe create a creature, like a herbivore, with some storage bags like a saddle. Then you could hold right click and "loot" the NPC to interact with the merchants store. I'm glad there won't be mounts, would take the fun out of roaming the wastes.
Haha I second that, mounts woulds take the fun out of roaming. And yea that's what I was thinking they'd have some type of storage on them and you'd be able to loot them. It'd be covenant if you have some kind of "lead" ability for them. Like right click and lead said beast mule, click "lead" and it'd follow you to town and you can sell all the shit its carrying.
