I'm probably stupid and just utterly missing it but settlements are going to be randomly generated in the future right? And so are factions? So what my question is when you have your own city up and running along with a mighty legion of Post-Apocalypse Samurai is it possible to go "See that city full of happy peaceful traders? Fuck that city." and just go in and literally burn that city to the ground? Just burn that city and all the other cities the faction has? And then just stand back and watch as settlers slowly fill in the void with villages, which slowly build up to cities?

The biggest attraction of this game to me is starting out in a random city and then setting out to turn your character into something approaching competent red shirt levels. An in-game month later you come back to the city you started in with your band of mercs/bandits only to find desolated ruins of the city you once knew, slowly rusting and crumbling away to nothing without anyone taking care of it.

first. its not Post-Apocalypse, Kenshi is set in an alternative universe, not of earth

second: buildings will be damageable. we do know this because they will eventually be damageable from weather.so sackign the town and burning it down is a good posiblity.
you will eventually be able to capture towns as well.
Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.
Then Men would become unmanageable

Ah, now that I think about it with all the future content it only seems like Post-Apocalypse right now because of the massive desert.

And I'm glad sacking whole cities is going to be in the game! Ha, from rags to tyrant! I can't wait!
