It does not make any sense, to carry around everyone, when all they have is a "minor leg injury", especially if the person doing all the carrying will move too slow and die out in the wilderness.
So one option, is limping/crutches/improvised crutches. Like if someone has a hurt leg, then the medic or squad mate will go the other side of that person, and help them take the weight off of the wounded leg.
As for improvised crutches.... A fragment axe would be more then enough support for a broken leg, and would be cool as hell to watch the animations for that.
But a "oh shit" kit for out in the wilderness, with collapsible crutches would be something a medic would have, so that the ones that could limp away, would use that, and the ones that are knocked out could be carried, increasing the squad's survivability.
Help me limp! other options besides carrying people
I guess it would really depend on situation. Sometimes carrying is more effective, and crutches are usually used for independant movement where time isn't really an issue, and danger isn't much present. It doesn't make much sense that anyone can pick up anyone though. Improvised methods of movements could be a useful option, especially considering that i believe carrying someone should give you a massive penalty to fighting.. I mean come on.. a little backpack makes it harder to fight, but carrying someone doesn't?
"Minor leg injury" is as bad as it gets in Kenshi atm. It's not always going to be like that though. Carrying should still always be an option, but sometimes you might find the situation could be better handled with an alternate method.

You're joking, right? Someone can barely walk, and you expect them to lift and move a 16-56kg item with one operable leg? Not a chance, bud.philthymcnasty wrote: As for improvised crutches.... Not joking on the fragment axe part.
like if your strength and toughness were high enough, or if you were doped up on combat drugs...
but it would be a cool animation, and would only be possible if the person was super tough/strong

more practical is a simple sled since sand is very slippery surface when used in that fashion.
and have to agree with Zeal. the frag axe is impractical as a crutch due to its weight and size and huge blade area. dont matter how strong you are, it's sear weight would slow you even further. and as your character is fighting off huge amounts of pain, ( Something i have tons of experience with daily ) your not gonna be able to coordinate using something so heavy as a crutch. a light pipe club would be more fitting. or the sled idea.

Do you believe the sexes should be equal?

Game play wise I don't see this adding much more then the splints already do.
A splint kit would have everything that is needed to create a crutch.
And it would be the simplest option for transporting.
It would minimally change the animation. adding a crutch to someone already limping.
Or even having someone leaning on someone instead of being over their shoulder.
Plus you would lose the benefit of the strength training when carrying someone.
it would be nice if when we gain pack animals we could put the wounded on them to carry.
