- Let's start with something harsh so it's all sweetier after this. More open possibilities for modders, AI tasks and whatnot, improve FCS in general. I bet this has been asked to stressfulness, just in case you forgot xd
- Autopause while shopping, with possibility to unpause if desired.
- Force walking characters (mostly npc runners) to stop when a shop "dialog"/window is open whith them unless higher priority task kicks in. By the time I chose what to buy I can't buy it anymore cause that guy was in a hurry.
- Ability to lock characters' weapon slots / prioritize inventory when looting / another solution for martial arts, also maybe adjust weapon slosts to actually address 1 weapon at a time.
- Increase the traders restock timer, moneys available to the player are virtually infinite in a very short time period.
- Batteries that replace hunger for skeletons, or something cooler. Also, do skeletons (or robots in general) really die? Not as simple as yes/no, might be something to think about.
- Better materials management: if 1 mat is required I pick 1, if "more than my inventory space can handle" is required, I just fill inventory.
- Edible ingredients should be last preferred when trying to eat something, finished products first.
- When stealing an item, instead of checking for the click event, check if we actually took that item (or the item has ended his translocation out of the target inventory), right now you commit crime even if you have full inventory, effectively stealing nothing while right-clicking. Trying to steal is a crime too, but I was just looking I swear!
- More checks for and new event actions, quick example the Slaver Boss, if carrying someone, put down carried, cages are full. Many more missing/needed: actively play dead (fake drop dead), make (set) unconscious, I will add to this as I play with fcs.
- Manufactured item cleaning: stacking inventories ("storage: thing", medicrate, robotics chest etc) make hella of a good job washing and scratching series numbers off items, why not make it a feature? I mean, those normal storages do not make stolen objects clean anymore and there will be the need of specific (expensive, with research too) machinary to do that (or any plausible alternative solution). That thief fence guy stares grumpy at me everytime, I feel bad.
- Recycling: much like the already present furnace, but with a twist. A container (or different containers. Waste pile, recycle bin, you name it) would be the provider for various machinery that tear apart items to make a small amout of basic materials. For example, anything that you put in that container is marked as waste and can be used in said machinery (maybe one per type of material) and it could be a job too.
- More unique and/or non-purchasable items. Catans play a big role in Kenshi, too big imho. You can live quite happily with things you can purchase, leave alone you can craft (with purchased mats). Then there's stealing, if you can purchase it, sure you can also steal it. Maybe this can be changed a little stripping down vendors inventory, but what I'm talking about is that you get really anything from vendors, for free or paying, and it's just asking me to purchase (ok, steal mostly) things until I'm ready to smash my way around, or purchase/steal better items, and that happens really too soon. Books and backpacks are the firsts that come to my mind, obviously food is anywhere, armor and weapons too, but those have quality so you can play around it. someone might want to add their thoughts here. Blueprints could be expanded to hide more of the available researchs/crafts and be uniques in ruins too.
- After loading a game, characters have no memory of which manchine can be worked or not, desperately running around trying every job they have, usually endig up at the starting place since it was the last job they could do. Can the state of a machine be saved in some way? Like full/can't be worked/no job required.
Save me from opening billions of topics please :p I promise I will keep it updated marking things as (if) they get discussed. Or open a different topic if required for a specific feature.
Love you.
