I feel like you should be able to grow a city more naturally than hiring a bunch of vagabonds and assigning them to whatever task. I propose you could sell real estate to farmers or merchants maybe some of the factions too. maybe some factions could try to force themselves into your town by taking over a building or threatening war if you don't comply and give them whatever house they want. this could add a lot to the game if you have to worries about local factions assimilating your outposts or even bandits not just them wandering about your outpost until you get there. (this is my first post so sorry if i messed something up) thank you for reading.

That is not a bad idea, actually. If i'm not mistaking, and if it hasn't yet been fixed, some factions already kinda assimilating into player's town. I remember somebody reporting about Hivers working on their machines, for instance. So if it would also affect relationship or have any other effect, that would be nice.

Although i have no idea how hard it is from a technical standpoint. And since i don't think anything like it was originally planned, and seeing that release is just around the corner, such functionality may not make it to Kenshi at all. But it's a good idea nevertheless, maybe for Kenshi-2, or some mod, or post-launch updates :)

You might like the discussion had in my thread here - viewtopic.php?f=16&t=13371

But I was thinking leasing/renting buildings out would be better.

That would be cool. Especially if you could furnish a building to increase its value to the sell-ee/renter.
