Basically it's this: Conversation lines change according to a character's role. If a character specializes in say Jittes and Ringed Sabers (defensive weapons) that fighter might start to say lines like: "Get behind me if we see hostiles; my blade shall shield you!" Or if the squadmate is bedecked in light armor and has high stats in light weapons, the fighter might say: "A blade in the back is a swifter, cleaner job than a falling sun hammering away at an adversary's breastplate. Messy!"
If a character has superlative farmer stats and pathetic combat stats, the working might complain and spout lines like: "I grow weary of this constant plodding through strange lands! Home is where my green things grow and where there are families to feed..."
I dunno just a suggestion. It would be neat and would give the player a sense that his decisions (in assigning roles) are really affecting his character/squad/city.
What do you guys think?
