[Kenshi 1] Can all shirt items have their craft time reduced...? They seem odd compared to full items

Leather Turtleneck takes 33 hours to complete.
A full-length sleeved longcoat takes a small fraction of this time to complete. Eh?

After bangin' me head against the FCS for a while, I can only assume the base times are set by the attach slot, and ATTACH_SHIRT has a huge base craft time compared to ATTACH_CHEST and so forth, but I'm not sure why.

It's odd that I can have one guy turn out a brigade's worth of full leather or even plate armor while the dude next to him at an identical crafting station with the same skill is still working on stitching together that same leather turtleneck.

And, yeah, hitting F4 and watching a million other things happen and get done while you're waiting for that one shirt to finish..... isn't much fun.

I get that they're expensive by design, as they're "bonus" protection, but by the time you're actually making them for a few squad members... it does get a little frustrating. Not even trying to minmax Masterwork rolls, just getting a couple done takes forever and gets to be kind of a drag.

Maybe increase their materials requirement in compensation, if the idea was to enforce their "bonus" nature? But the looooooong craft times.... it stands out oddly and gets a bit painful.

Thanks!

I really wish their craft times were reduced as well. Long ago it made sense. They were very strong items, and very rare. So they were expensive to buy when you found them, and when crafting became a thing, took a long time to craft.

But later on their stats were nerfed significantly, and they've been made far more common. And yet, their cost and crafting times are still as high as they used to be.

I agree fully with this sentiment.

A while ago I was trying to outfit my whole squat with the very best armor my smiths can make, meaning full samurai gear and blackened chainmail, this was for 30 characters, the maximum number of character you can have without mods.

The 4 pieces of samurai armor was easy enough to make for all 30 characters at masterwork quality, it took a few hours but that's worth it.

Then I started on the chainmails, it took me three whole days playing something like 14 hours a day before I was finally done. That amount of time is just unacceptable. I don't care how amazing the blackened chainmail (or other variants of this kind of item) are or not, its just an absurd time investment.

I would like to see the craft time of these items brought more in line with similar gear, like samurai armor.

EDIT: and yes, I was playing at max game speed for the entire time. It really takes that absurd an amount of time.
