Hello! The creator of the great Kenshi, Lo-Fi development team
First of all, thank you for allowing us to play a surprisingly interesting and individual Kenshi.
I apologize in advance that you may not want to communicate because you are writing through a translator.
Kensi1 is already successful, has a lot of enthusiasts, and the news of Kensi2's development has made us look forward to it tremendously, and even if it only offers graphics and UI improvements, or new maps over its predecessor, Kensi2 is already a huge success.
However, there were a lot of things that I felt sorry for while playing Kenshi, and I write this in Kenshi 2 with the hope that these parts will be improved and added.
The development direction has already been decided, and there are many opinions that are difficult to reflect because the development has progressed to some extent, but I write down some of my wishes.
1.Every character in Kenshi 1 is different for each weapon, but every character in the entire region attacks and moves in the same motion.
In Kenshi 2, we expect characters who make unique movements, attack methods, and actions little by little for each region, tribe, and occupation. This gives players access to more interesting characters and worlds.
-It's more interesting that all the characters in the world do some of the same 20 to 30 motions, each with its own personality.
-The posture that naturally changes during non-combat and various non-combat motions will make the character more harmonized with the world. For example, motion such as leaning against a table or wall, shaking your legs or arms to stretch your body, sweating, observing weapons, etc
-a variety of fighting styles Like martial arts
2.Learn new offensive motions through books or teachers and use them selectively. Like Diablo 4's skill selection
-This brings about active exchanges with the NPC.
-Unlike humans, robots replace their attack methods by replacing drivers or combat modules.
-Each motion has its own personality depending on the country, the clan, and the occupation, and each motion has its ability or strengths and weaknesses. ex/Ninja, samurai, knight, cannibal, slave, bandit, etc
-I hope that the standing posture of each weapon or equipment will be unique. In Kensi 1, even though they fight as much as they can, they sit unnaturally or stand blankly with their arms folded when the battle is over.
3.itemization of kensi's cash 'cat'
- I don't want characters scattered around the world sharing cat through internet bank. Each character has a cat obtained through transaction or routing as an item, thereby obtaining a more interesting trade system, and requiring more in-depth survival as a sandbox game.
-This is the popular mode of Kensi 1, but there are many things that are regrettable due to the limitations of the system.
-A squad or character with a large amount of cat may have random events such as being the target of a predator, and a more realistic trade system may be established by protecting a character with a large amount of cat.
-ID cards that can be used in banks, deposits, and withdrawals are also good ideas.
4.A natural communication system with NPCs, such as selectable dialogues, rather than one-sided dailog readings
-Kensi1's NPC is like a robot vending machine. We need a more natural and optional NPC.
5. Diversification of item options
-All of the built items around the world share the same merit. It's classified, but if each item has a slightly different merit, it could be a more realistic kensi. Like the Diablo series
6.Improve in-game interface
-This is the signature of Kenshi 1, but it is very different from popular games, and it is a big obstacle for users who are new to Kenshi.
-Improving cumbersome and difficult squad sharing, and uniting two or more units more easily will make the game more pleasant and accessible. Like the hot key features supported by most RTS games, such as Starcraft and Warcraft series
-Users can play a much more pleasant game by displaying newly acquired items in the inventory or adding distinguishable functions by highlighting them, such as several mmorpg games.
-Easy comparison interface of 2 items
7.Improvement of depressing resource storage systems
-Iron storage shelves, copper storage shelves, silver storage shelves, gold storage shelves... No more shelf types are needed.
-In addition to the shelves largely divided into resources, food, materials, weapons, and armor, the over-segmented shelves by resources create a landscape of bases that is boring, requires repetitive labor, and is unnatural.
-Shelves divided into optional and only a few categories, such as Limworld's storage area system and Going Midible's shelf system, will make Kensi 2's production system interesting and natural.
8.Introduction of the shelf life and freshness system of food
-2000 roast meats stored in storage without any hand caps make Kensi1 a simple repetitive boring simulation, no longer an interesting game.
-If food decomposes and becomes ineffective, has side effects such as food poisoning, or spontaneously extinguishes over time, Kensi will no longer be a tedious simulation of repeated production, but will be a survival game that requires proper purchase, acquisition, and cooking for the character's survival. It will also require the weight of the suitcase and the play that requires travel planning.
9. Weapon
-The functions of each weapon, such as parts replacement and upgrade, will go well with Kensi 2. Weapons divided into parts like Bannerrod's weapon manufacturing system, weapons parts with different capabilities for each part
-If each weapon has durability, or if damage is reduced or side effects by obtaining random damage in use, it will require a much more strategic weapon selection, the use of secondary weapons, and strategic play in combat.
-Systems that polish weapons with sharpening stones, attach nails to the bat, leather or bandages on windows to reinforce weapons, or make temporary repairs
And a few things I want
#A real shield
-I need a real shield with motion and function, not any more belts or fake shields in the pitch slots.
#BOW !!
- Did you watch the movie 'Six-String Samuri'? A crude bow or a war ship. Kensi's worldview is well suited to the old bow that remains in the world. Additionally, a bow that can be made easily is more realistic than a crossbow.
- Combat techniques to shoot out or defend flying arrows based on ability or skill will make Kensi 2 a legendary game. be the dream of a samurai
#poison and antidote
-Poisonous insects, venomous snakes, and poisonous plants can be easily encountered in deserts or swamps. A poison system that is not too strong and is accompanied by an antidote enables a wider variety of plays and can be another way to attack strong enemies.
# a double weapon
-Weapons armed with one in both hands, like Barbarian, would be a great option for Kenshi.
-The mods related to this are on Kensi 1 but they weren't perfect, and I hope they were functional on Kensi 2.
# morale
- A poor hungry bandit running in preparation for death against a fully armed samurai is unrealistic and like a fanatic who wants to commit suicide. This is very unnatural and unthinkable for bandits who simply wander in the desert in search of food for survival.
-Bandits who choose to start a battle or flee according to the opponent's armed state will be much more suitable for the Kenshi worldview.
-If a certain number of the group dies or you feel an overwhelming difference in skills, aren't enemies who run away very interesting?
#scream,war cry
-Adding a voice to a game is very difficult and requires a lot of effort. But it will make for a much more immersive and high quality game. All of the characters in Kensi 1 are mute people who feel no pain.
-A shout provokes or scares the enemy to run away.
#fatigue, sleep
-As long as you have enough food that doesn't spoil or disappear, races other than robots move indefinitely like robots.
-It would be a realistic survival game if after a certain amount of hours of work or combat, you would lose your ability or have side effects, and if you let rest or sleep solve it.
-I don't think my character is a person who attacked 100 bandits without falling asleep for 3 days and never getting tired at a constant speed.
-The ability to change depending on rest, sleep, and hunger, and the attack speed will be much more interesting than the hunger system in Kensi 1.
#joining the neutral population
-The player's settlement, full of dozens of empty buildings and walls, makes us feel futile and lost in the purpose of the game.
-Neutral populations who naturally join depending on the size or friendship of the settlement, the player's propensity, sales products, and the location of the settlement can increase immersion in the game and the player's attachment to the settlement.
-The neutral population no longer makes the settlement a ghost town by leasing buildings in the settlement for a fee or by doing survival activities such as trading, production, lodging, and eating within the settlement.
#trade and passenger ships available between port cities
#Carriage
#Walling for Ninjas
#A building where the player selectively combines and constructs walls, roofs, and floors, rather than constructing a single building
#Robots have a model system that allows them to directly replace their arms and legs, making them easier to hear with humans.
#ambush
-Players can attack traders passing by the side of the road in the bush at night.
-Players who are chased by bandits can hide in the grass to avoid chasing.
#throwing weapon
-Shrieken,axe,Throwing Spear
#Recall of Fallen Arrows
-Like Elder Scrolls, shot arrows can be collected probabilistically after combat.
#Permanent organ loss in addition to limbs
-Organs damaged during combat, such as eyes, nose, ears, and organs, can be replaced with artificial organs.
#the skill of disarming an opponent by dropping his weapon
-The technique of inducing surrender by dropping an enemy's weapon using skill differences rather than crippling the enemy or cutting off his limbs to lose consciousness
#Building an Easy Camping Site
-After camping, eight characters had to leave a campfire that burned forever and a sleeping bag, or delete them one by one and head to their destination. Building an easy camping site and organizing an easy camping site are essential functions of Kensi 2.
#the preferred weapon of each race
-In addition to the multiples of Kensi 1's experience of weapon proficiency by race, the preference of characters, and skill limits by race will require strategic choices in adding members.
I've been playing Kensi 1 for over 1000 hours. I really want to play Kensi 2 before I die. I hope you make Kensi 2 safely, the harm development team. Long live Lo-Fi
Kensey 2, a few things you want
Hello! I really love this game and it has taken so many hours away from me lol. Something I would love to see is expanding more on the base-building aspect of the game. I recently discovered shift+F12, which was a game-changer for me to build bases and make it my own! Also, I don't know if this is a possible thing, but can you make it so that when you merge two buildings, it will give you a merged interior? i don't know if you will get what I mean but I like to combine buildings to make new pathways. I know you guys have a lot of plans for this game and I'm super excited! I wish you all the best.
