A more brutal world

Bloody fights, amputations, gore, rape. All this would seem like everyday occurrence in a world as harsh as Kenshi´s, yet it looks pretty bland to me. I love some things done so far, like being eating alive, bandits looting you etc, but theres a lot that could be added. Bandits should be more violent and relentless in their attacks, raping victims would be standard practice among bands, ko´d enemies should be liable to be terminated "fatality" way. With this amount of melee fighting we should see a lot of amputees and scarred people. And of course if you are into it you should be able to join a band and practice such uplifting activities yourself.

I remember a really good game called Hard West were a bad trait could diminish you but suddenly turn into a good one. I dont remember exactly but it was like: you´ve lost an eye in a fight, but with time this actually improved you aim, and a lot of stuff like that, so losing a limb isn´t the end of the road, but actually makes you harder.

blood is planed. as are amputations if they get it to work right, gore goes in with the blood part.
as for the rape part. no i don't want to see that. and i sure hope its not planed or even considered.

blood was in the game at the beginning, but it caused game play issues sow as removed and to be added back in later, like what happened with walls.

Agree with Neko, rape has no place in this or any other game.
As for more violence? They are already slaughtering each other with swords, if they add the blood in I would say that will be bloody enough.

Hopefully when they decide to add blood back in the add it not only on the one getting mutilated but the aggressor as well since he/she would get covered.

You mean, planned cannibals eating other people limb by limb isn't brutal enough for ya? Dafuq

As a matter of fact, probably best games i remember playing myself was blood-less o_O
So i can't say blood is awesome and a must, but if it returns, i'd like to see the checkbox to disable it.

For the rest i'm with Hatsune

It´s not that I like this kind of things but sadly it would surely happen in a world like Kenshi´s. Damn, it happens every day in a "civilized" world like ours. Cutting this off just feels like a PG13 movie.
The cannibal and animals eating you alive part is awesome like I said, it really freaks me out and adds a lot of immersion and makes you feel for your characters.

On the raping subject I know its terrible and would almost turn a long expedition or an enemy raid into a horror movie. I hate this kind of things but I just dont buy the idea of it not existing in this world. Perhaps just imply it without exactly showing it, I dont know. I dont even know it there was ever a game to do it, but well Kenshi is not like anything I´ve seen.

I think someone already suggested the idea of "terminating" fallen enemies, it seems logical to me also.

In most cases, hyperrealism, as a form of art, suck balls. It's not necessary to describe neither imply EVERYTHING that's happening in the world. I, for one, absolutely love those people, who're sitting on toilets with a goal of "relaxing", it's just amusing, hillarious, and understandable, and if "relaxing" would've been replaced by something "realistic" i wouldn't be amused at all. There's line that must not be crossed, not to preserve appealing to certain audience, but because it must never be crossed at all.

on the rape part. besides it being the most vile and evil thing someone can do to someone else.
here is why it most likely will never be added.

1. There is such a thing as to much realism in a video game.
2. There is no ageing in Kenshi ( besides animals ) and also no reproducing.
3. it is a completely vile thing.

On a personal note, as a victim of rape. i would seriously be extremely unhappy and pissed if this gets added. there is nothing good about rape. it is a vile and evil act do against someone. and there is no place for it in any video game.

Raping part will give any game certain reputation and it's not good thing. I would instantly uninstall the whole game and stop suggesting it to people and tell them never touch the dirty game.

edit. all violence in any entertainment needs some abstraction or it turns discusting. It's funny thing when stick people dies but it's not when real people dies. There's a big difference. It's little hard to explain but I'm sure most people understands what I'm trying to say.

Ok its good to know what everybody thinks about this kind of things. Anyway its interesting to see how we come to see violence like something normal. We as society feel horrified about some aspects of it, like sexual abuse, (which is perfectly normal we do because its the worst thing ever) but we can play ultra gory games like mortal kombat, or any war simulator and just see it as a funny thing.

Rape is definitely taking it a few steps too far, but all the other things I'd welcome in a heartbeat with open arms.

Especially dismemberment/amputation which would lead to robotic replacements, I WANT THAT SO BAD.

Add fucking toothbrushing before we ever use that justification to consider adding rape to a videogame. FFS.

Rape doesn't contribute anything to gameplay. This isn't a game about sex, so adding it is both unnecessary and inappropriate, and provides stigma in too many areas. Turning the game into a M-rated game that is completely ignored by every child and teen in the world, and over-emphasized through screenshots and other promotions is the only thing this will accomplish, and for what? "Realism"? More like unneeded fan-service.

I don't care how "realistic" it is, it adds nothing but an external problem.
Rape is not going to be added to Kenshi, disputing it is pointless.
