I feel like it would make sense to make racial specific helms / shirts / footwear for these species, since they after all, have a harder time starting off (in the current map anyway). Having no armor options for them in the end makes it (for the hardcore gamer) rather pointless to play them since they will eventually fall behind humans in terms of durability despite having harder starts

Edit: I would not be adverse to having the armor very difficult to acquire, just having the option there for endgame would be nice

I've been thinking this, too. Seems more than a little arbitrary to decide that the Hivers would never wear armour, and the Skeletons would likely have components they could place over their frames to provide armour protection. I'd expect that, especially since they can craft weapons and armour already. Wouldn't take too much to adapt that armour to their frames.

I want stupid masks for robots to cover their faces. Something created by a daft Skeleton that can't tell humanoids apart to use to try and pass as a human. Like a burlap sack with a smiling face drawn on it. Yes after a lot of work to become human the tinman managed to become a scarecrow.
