Hardly something to prioritize, but it could be nice to have your characters randomly switch between some of the poses.
Maybe have it be an option during the creation where, where 0 would be it would be called "randomized" and it would switch between the poses every few minutes or something.
Could help breath some life into your otherwise fairly static characters.

Even better, would be cool to have poses bind to situation. If char is ill or cold, it'll take a shrink pose, if it's hot or they doing fine - relaxed pose, If they been conscripted then it's "Attention!" posture, which would stay for a while even after military service is over as well, etc, etc
Would be cool to also see some recognition of the posture by npc in gialogues as well: "Hey, buddy, what, think you're badass? Try me!" "Dam, you look sick, here, drink some rum" and so on. Although, considering game's mixed genre it all sounds way off, and would be more suitable for traditional RPG....
Soo, maybe also just an option to choose few stances for characters to switch between

Great ideas here. Random poses and poses specific to character health would be nice.
I like the idea of hurt or hungry characters showing it in the game to make it easier to pick up on.
I would like to be able to pick a pose for when they are feeling at their best. Their natural pose is the one we pick in the character creator. Then they change according to health or situation.

I don't see my heavy armored 2 meters guy with shaking chills because it's so cold.....
It's not in my "I like" list but it's a good idea to give realism but.....it will be extremely complex to do and this game is not about realism it's about Leviathans

actually no it is not about leviathans, it is about nameless, faceless, nobodies, just trying to survive.
if you disagree you need to watch the game trailers.
As for the poses I agree, pick 0 for random, or pick 2 or 3 from a list for your basic pose. then script in poses to match the situation. this is not too hard, or complex. and in fact the game does this to some extent already. Just need to expand the pool of triggers and associated animations. for instance when your leg is hurt you limp, when arms are hurt you hold them to your chest, etc. and when starving you get thin and wasted... there are many of these types of triggers in the game and in fact the AI already has triggers for your health etc. but there is just not enough visuals to go along with this system.
Things like setting a "mood" would not only change your pose but could affect the AI. For instance set a "cowardly" mood. not only would your basic pose become withdrawn, and frightened, but you will be shy and skittish in dialog responses. making the AI react to this is no big deal, just more triggers in the AI system.
Again maybe not priority, but I would love to see more of this type of stuff to increase immersion. I agree it would be a great addition to have more scripted and triggered animations and poses.

Fumikomi & Kamae: Like the Yin and Yang create a symbiosis. One is not superior to the other, they are two parts of a whole.

I disagree, I saw the trailer (a lot of times) but still disagree with you, go to the north you will understand......if you survive some time there you won't be a nameless nobody anymore
P.S: Did you see the chaos that ONE of those things can create in the old desert? Imagine tons of them, if you can face that you are a legend, so yes, it's about Leviathans
Well.....returning to the thread.....what swillo said is a really good idea, to add some more standard poses to the game

Okay, in yer subjective opinion it's about Leviathans. In everything stated about the game, it's about coming up as a nobody in an unforgiving world. And yes, how eventually one can toughen up to take that unforgiving world on.
