Please, make an article about Stats, Leveling Up and such...
I will help as much as I can, but I do not know the basics since I am new here.
I guess that the Wikia should be pointed out in the main site as a Guide, since there is absolutely no help to the NEW player about such matters as what to do in the beggining of your game.
And about the surviving + leveling up... the simple task of finding fallen warriors and looting them brings you to another level of gameplay.
For instance, I began to play yesterday in a new character and was running happily trough a town when I found this Red Coated dude on the ground, being supported by another Red Coated dude...
But he was unconcious or whatever, so I just looted him for outstanding equipment!
Right at the beggining of my game... I got a nice armor and a big weapon... for free... and he never ran after me to get his items back and none of his fellows tried to stop me from robbing him. (I know the faction system is not yet implemented, but this is a reminder)
He was a Red Crusader or something as such.
Another thing is the trading system, where you actualy loose money if you click wrongly on the items.
The transaction is completed if you select an item and put it into your inventory, but you cannot trade back at that same transaction, keeping the same amount you spent, by undoing it.
Just an idea so the game wont get too hard, since there actualy are some bugs in the mouse control (for me, the mouse has a huge lag at some moments, and others none...)
There are some expensive equips that could ruin the expences of a gemer who invested a lot of time in looting+killing+supporting+looting+trading etc... and was just helping the Alpha version of the game.
I know the gamer should be carefull, but well, it is just an idea.
Another detail is the grass. I think it lags the game while it is being loaded (probably something to do with OGRE). There could be a way of disabling it to improve performance.
The pathfinding of the NPCs such as Caravan Traders and Caravan Guards while walking trough towns is really buggy. I've read it had some bugs, though not finding an easy way or trying lots of paths is something, but standing against a wall without trying to move for about 10min... can be troublesome even for a buggy pathfinding system.
