Idea is pretty simple, replace limbs that are too badly damaged to be fixed naturally with mechanical or general prostetic limbs.

I'm fully aware that this is be implemented across the game in due course anyway but allow me to expand on it a little.

Generally speaking I'm gonna assume it wont be the case of give and equip you'd need someone with a decent medic skill and crafting skill to make and fit your own mechanical limbs to replace either the canibal buffet your person was part of or the gang ganking they got early on by dust bandits but if they could have different grades similar to weapon smithing or the like that'd be a good way to level up a few different things and generally give it an interesting twist but make it race specific.

So hive for example may only have "light" limbs replacements and sheks chould have up to heavy etc.

what's the difference between light and heavy?
what properties will they have?
what bonuses or negatives will each version have?
Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.
Then Men would become unmanageable

Current computer specs.
AMD FX-8150 - Eight Core, 3.60GHz
NVidia GTX 1050TI
24GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz Ram

I wonder how the feature will be implemented at all.

Been about to say that probably we'll need some kind of augmentation bench where patient would be put for limb replacement operation and that both robotechnician and medic, or a single robotech\medic of certain skill would be required to do the job, and that replacements would go just like crafting tasks with certain material requirements...

But then i thought that it will probably be easier, even if a bit lazy to just add the corresponding option to a plastic surgeon menu, so prostethics could even be added upon character creation.

Ah, we'll see how it goes, i'm very curious regardless of implementation way :)

P.S.: Check this out, just as i've been writing this, Steam gave me an ad about Deus Ex Mankind Divided being available, what a coincedence, "i never asked for this" :D

To answer these in order since I've finally gotten my internet connection back up from moving house:

1. the difference between light and heavy could be simple things such as attach power increase or faster production potentially tied in with something like the labouring skill

2. basic properties would be simple also - standard human arm health is 100, hive is 75 and shek is 125 so a robotic / augmented limb could increase this by 25 per piece to a cap out of x2.0 for light for example or x3.5 for heavy allowing for combat orientated "builds" of characters or light / heavy builds for characters who are used as in base labour plus this could also negate the bleed out effect and if too heabily damaged the arm could become unusable in an almost identical fassion to how it is now except you need a robotics kit to repair or replace the limb entirely.

3. I think I covered that in (2.) mostly but to reiterate the different "types" of limb; heavy, light, etc could impact on "limb" health, bleed out, stat bonuses to attack, defence, labouring skills etc.

As a side note limb could potentially be weapons themselves, why have a hand and a sword when your hand is a sword or something akin to that train of thought.
