Stop dissing the meat!
meat sandwiches should have at least as many Nu's as dustwiches! I mean seriously what do you want to eat more, meat and bread or cactus and bread?
Also dried meat needs to be a bit more nutritious. At least more so then dried fish. seriously which one of those would fill you up more?
And not on the comparison side, it used to be possible to have a nomadic life where you killed some meat and were able to cook it in camp over the evening and in the morning you had a pack full of meat and could move on for a day or so. I liked that option it felt like survival in the wilderness.
Now meat is soo low NU you have to carry and entire bulls worth to stay fed through a single day.

Please boost the meats back up a little bit. They are a hard to come by finite resource and should give you a little boost for the effort of going out and getting them, instead of just farming.

Meat doesn't stay good for long without salting and curing meats they tend to slowly rot.

Meat isn't inherently the most nutritious. it was just easier to obtain than more vegetables or fruits. since those require knowledge of farming and agriculture. Meat may have a lot of protein but tends to lack the more vital nutrients and minerals needed to maintain a healthy life.

Living on Rice seems to be better than living off of meat.
