Turning faster while running, or slowing down movement to turn correctly

I run into a lot of problems with people moving too fast for their own good, and when they turn they just bump into stuff, sometimes even making the said character stuck.

I noticed this a while ago with my guys and they used to get stuck behind the stairs ALL the time. I recently installed a steam workshop mod that adds some belts to the game and one belt makes me run over 100 MPH, and even on the roads I don't turn fast enough. While I know 100mph will never be in the game without cheating, this has confirmed my suspicions about this problem.

known issue
tap the speed toggle for that character down to jog instead of running for now until this is addressed.
