I think dark text on dark background is a bit sub-optimal and I wonder if anyone is really able to read the Ui-text without getting a headache:

As much as i've been advocating for something more similar to the original beta UI at first, some decent work has been done over that brown-beige thing, and to me it currently seems very solid. Maybe except for the red text over brown bars, but then again, you're not really supposed to look at it for long, as it indicates the currently locked researches.

So, I personally, find those colours very readable.

Also your version made my eyes bleed. Not to say it's bad, just pointing out a diffirent perceptions
