[Request] Fighting among yourself

Is it possible to add the function to be able to let your own people fight against each other?

Possibly setting your Squads to "Teams" that oppose each other so you can let them fight each other.

So we can do stuff like:
- Sparring/Training between your people, even in great sparta they beat up their children! (Or something like that)
- "build test" to see what character is actually stronger in a Fight
- RPG elements to be able to create your own "enemies"/Rivals
- Creating your or Colloseum of sort with your Arena Heros fighting each other.

Yeah, is there a chance something like this could be added? I am kinda bored of capturing myself a dust bandit boss and use him as a living training dummy, treat his wounds again, lock him up in a room with a bed to heal and repeat, when I could just aswell train among my own people the same way.

Honestly this sounds like a GREAT idea!, Sparring would be useful as well as the gang having falling outs and fighting each other, I know there's personalities in the game, why not let them clash!

While a Dojo is something, I think simply being able to flag your squads as "Teams" could allow more than just "Friendly sparring". It´s pretty much just another Element to dizzle around with just for Funzies aswell.

Also it´s a bit silly that you can capture outsiders to use as sparring dummies (They also get stroger so the training remains sort of viable) instead of just doing it with your own people. But I guess that part atleast would be "Fixed" with a Dojo. Still kinda "limited" in the uses of Sandboxing around.

the limits will still be there as you will only be able to train so much.
then you have to go out and fight NPC's to train more.

You mean for the Dojo or fighting your own guys?

Either way, Going out is highly encouraged in the game and should certainly stay that way.
So it´s fine that the training effect is limited in a way, but this suggestion is less about training anyway and more about the freedom of letting my guys kill themselves. Don´t ask why I would want to let my people I raised in many painful hours and surviving in the wasteland, kill each other. I just wanna sometimes!

A Dojo just kinda sounds so limited. I think thats contradicting to the sandbox style spirit of the game and kinda takes a bunch of options to fuck around with, in my opinion.

all self training will be limited.
its so you don't sit there and fully train up using said items.
i believe even the Dojo will only train you to lvl 15 in whatever skill it will help train.

so yes its sandbox but you still need to put restricts so people dont turtle in one spot for the entire game. gotta give em reasons to run out and play with the local wildlife.

That the Training effect is limited is absolutely fine, I meant more the possibilities of playing around cause how I imangine a dojo is sorta like having some guy training your people without much risk of anything.
That you only get up to 15 that way is alright.

I wouldn´t mind if when you let your own people fight, that there is no gains at all aslong as I have the opption to do that. Thats what I meant with limited.

Again, the training aspect is pretty unimportant to me. Thats NOT what this suggestion is about mainly.

so more of a combat arena type thing where you take no damage. that's different and i'm unsure if the Dev would add that. i would think because it doesn't do anything for the game beyond RP. plus the fundamentals of it are not in game.

the only version of something like that is if you capture a bandit and stick em in a enclosed space and have one of your people go in and fight. think that's about as close to the idea as it might get because the Bandit, still has a chance against you.

though with the Dojo idea you could feasibly keep training and get no skill gain but watch them fight or whatever it is the Dev will have them do. depends on what animations the Dev uses i think. and i'm guessing on what the Dojo will train and do. there is no word from the Dev on what it will entail.

What, no. They are supposed to take damage. A normal fight as any other in the wasteland. I am even fine with like highly reduced gains or no gains.

But yeah it mostly is just for the RP part a goofing around with it. Thats why I suggested that you can set Squads as a "team" maybe and flag them against each other so you have a bit freedom there and letting more than just 2 people pit against each other.

Watching the fight endlessly with no damage would be silly and pointless.

there was a time you could do that. when ever you went into the Shift F12 menu it turned everyone into enemies.
caused a few issues with the game that was eventually fixed.

though the idea sounds good i highly doubt it will be added. mostly because of there not being a way to fight people within the same faction without bugging out the entire game. it would have to be coded from scratch to add it. but........

I can't say this is impossible as i don't know how the Dojo is gonna work. it might be adding just what you are asking for. but for now i would say wait and see what the Dev has planned for the Dojo. since this request is not the first time it's been asked for.

Ah, I see. I didn´t know something like that was implented before and caused trouble.
But yeah I saw a suggestion similiar to this like 3-4 years ago.

So well! Guess I just wait for now then and see how the dojo turns out.

i wouldn't say implemented. since it was a side effect of a bug.
yep we just have to wait and see, and that shouldn't be too long from now at least.
