Wild animals and domestic animals

Now that we can buy more animals, i'm coming across an issue of
dometic's using the same species group as the wilds do for editing purposes.

so if i edit the wilds i'm also editing the base group for all accross the board for that species.
can the wilds have their own sub race instead of them being linked to generic race. so we can edit them and it not affect the ones you can buy.
case in point, goats. if i edit their base stats i'm changing the base stats for them all. including for the ones the nomads sell. and i don't want those ones upgraded to be faster and stronger and more scary for my Mods.

Is it possible to add a new animal? A "domesticated goat"? Then set goats as being wild only, and set dom. goats as never wild? Is it possible to change an animal from one type into another, similar to the age trait?
Just some ideas.

it's possible
but then would have to reassociate a bunch of things in game. would take me awhile to get it all correct.

Speaking of goats, I'm having a hard time justifying them. They don't graze for food, so they eat perfectly good people food just like a recruit. Only, they're weak, they can't do any work, and unless you use a mod they can't carry anything. All the cost with something like 1/5th the benefit. Bulls at least carry a lot, and bonedogs are pretty good in a fight. Can goats actually contribute to a community?

could set the AI for them to eat corpses.

and for my original topic. i did indeed make new animals just so that wilds and domestics wouldn't mix.
it works great.
normal animals for the farm and wanderer sales and wilds heavily beefed up to make your lives miserable. especially the goats.

Interesting and that would be nice to have more animals.
