- Shift + Left Click = Transfer all of selected object at once to container (to bag, to chest, from chest from corpse, etc.) <- Quintessential - In 0.97.4 - Praise the Devs for looking!
- Alt Key With Ease. Instead of pressing Alt Just to show names, can we Press those names to pick them up? Otherwise I scroll out, then in, then rotate to click the object, then back out, then alt, then in, then rotate, etc. very tedious.. If we could just click the newly highlighted names (from pressing Alt) this'd be a major relief
- Collector Button (Next to the Rescue/Medic, or wherever, a job that makes the AI collects all loose bits 'n' bobs that won't constitute stealing) -> Why? Ignoring my hoarding tendencies when at Ancient Libraries, it's all about when destroying my walls or expensive infrastructure, I have to pick up all the little thingies. In fact, I've actually avoided rebuilding my farms because I fear picking up hundreds of greenfruit. Dear lord
Please give someone the Hoover job
- Destroy button? Or Mark for dismantle? (Selecting each wall segment, then dismantle is tedious. More so when doing it manually with AI by hold right clicking, then dismantle. Solution: incorporate one or both of the following: In the "build" tab, a "destroy" / "mark for deconstruction" button. The "destroy" button means I can just left click on everything I want instantly demolished, &/or the "mark for deconstruction" button that allows me to select/highlight dozens of buildings quickly, undoing mistakes, & then confirming my selection for my Engineer to then go around dismantling them.)
- Or alternatively, mouse sensitivity slider in the options? It moves so slowly for me... I'm just used to really high sensitivity, so it's a real drag when doing a lot of things in the game. I've tried to get used to it, including editing the settings.cfg a bit, but it's still sluggish. I end up just using WASD QE to navigate
- Blueprints. It's really annoying having to mouse over all these blueprints every time just to see if I know it or it's a new one. 1x1 squares they are. Could you not colour code the two? Really simply, one's you know are dark blue, one's you don't are vanilla blue. Easy, small, but effective.
- Camera Speed. A really minor, but effective addition that I've seen in games with multiple levels of zoom, is the ability to move at different speeds. I.e. In Kenshi, when I zoom in, my camera movement speed comes to a crumbling standstill (I assume to take into account that I'm no longer zoomed out) but that means I'm having to zoom out & in just the get to the right angle, because moving 2 metres has suddenly become a marathon. When looking at other examples (The Sims, Total War, etc.) there's an ability to move faster across all zoom levels to avoid this minor grievance, & avoid coding in different levels of speed for each person. What others do, is if I move the camera with WASD or the Mouse at the Edge of the Screen, it's at speed x. If I move the camera with WASD and the Mouse at the Edge of the Screen, it's at speed x+y. And finally, if I move the camera with WASD and the Mouse at the Edge of the Screen, whilst holding shift, it's at speed x+y+z. Again, really minor point about QoL additions.
Otherwise, amazing game. Of course I'd love to see some of those luxury features... ranged combat... taming... mounts... AI autonomy... faction warfare with cool arse invasions... but just here to add what I hope are really simple things to add, but truly make the World of difference.
Oh, & if you do add lots of blood, make it so people that are bleeding... bleed. Really annoying when I'm carrying people across the map without knowing they're dying, then find out when I reload & they've disappeared (Game doesn't save held corpses xD)

I'm completely agree with your Easy Alt suggestion, that would not just make it possible to pick items from a distance, but would also help with items stuck in geometry (lost my beedroll that way once).
For the cursor issue - i think, for now, you may use a hardware cursor option as a workaround, that way you'll get your OC cursor senitivity.

Agreed

- & OH MY GOD, the Hardware mouse Option!!! Sweet Delilah, perfect, thank you! May as well remove my mouse sensitivity QoL suggestion now haha thanks!

I feel like sensitivity slider is still somewhat relevant, because HW cursor has number of disadvantages, namely: it's noninteractive, and it does not restricted by game's speed, so if something lags behind or freezes, frozen cursor won't tell you. And since not everybody has a mouse with adjustable sensitivity, ingame slider would be fancy

I have wanted shift+click to transfer all items for a while. I also think foraging should pick up food from npcs (more specifically cargo animals)

Mmm, yeah - the hardware cursor just alleviates the sensitivity for me but the rest of what you said, and the fact that I now have 2 cursors, support the need for an in-game sensitivity setting. At least I'm able to move a lot more freely though.

Yes! Currently the "looting job" thingy doesn't really work - If I understand it correctly, the assignee has to haul it back to somewhere. Despite it being a clever touch, would nicer to just have someone actually
Loot everything. Then let the secondary job of "ditching resources" kick in.
I know you were specifically asking for food, but I don't know if asking for "loot specific stuff" is easier or more complicated in theory =/

When I press Alt and click on an item's name, my selected person picks up the item. Are you asking for something that's already in the game, or am I misunderstanding?
A couple new ones for ya:
I want to swipe to move items between inventories. Hold down R-click (and shift if I want stacks), and just drag the cursor over items in the inventory. Every item or item stack the cursor contacts gets activated as if it were clicked. No more clicking 60 times to get rid of teeth. That would be wonderful.
I want people who have the job to auto-haul to also loot bodies. If someone is set to auto-haul to a weapon inventory and a slew of bandits is nearby, that person will grab all the iron sticks and deposit them in the weapon rack. If someone is set to auto-haul raw meat to a raw meat barrel, then all the raptors get looted without me doing anything. Obviously, if looting would be a crime, they shouldn't loot the item.
