Legendary weapons: sword names

This feature would be absolutely unnecessary for core gameplay ('luxury feature'), but I think it is true to the spirit of Kenshi (as I experience it):
After a certain amount of kills or damage done, your sword (or cleaver, polearm etc.) reaches legendary status, marking that it has built up a reputation across the world of Kenshi and instills fear in the hearts of your enemies. When your weapon becomes legendary status, you get the opportunity to name it.
For instance, if my powerhouse Riddle wipes out enough fog people with his nodachi, I could give it a cool name like "Vengeance" or "Fearward", in addition to the type name (Catun III, Edge Type 1 etc.). If, in some unfortunate but unrelated red saber event, Riddle would die in battle, I can loot "Vengeance" from him and have another character carry it with him, together with Riddle's legacy.
Note that legendary status would not somehow magically increase any stats on the weapon, in my view.
