Compost issued from decomposition can make a good fertilizer. I see it as an alternative for crops growth in arid area.

3 Techs levels :
The Dump : Simple hole in the ground were you put the bodies of your ennemies. Two/three days to decompose a body outdoor.
Grinder : Shred the parts ! Accelerate the decomposition a bit. One day less to decompose a body.
Chemical reactive : Turn the bodies into 'mashed potatoes' in a few hours.

All crops made with fertilizer can grow 15% faster, it also divide the losses per 1.5.

I think use one tech level, Grinder, and you can switch it from compost to pet food.

I think ashes may also be used as fertilizer, so if anything, corpse furnace may produce some usefull stuff, so you can eat your enemies in 4 simple steps, for cases when vengence must be absolute zero cold.
