Its still easy to make money in game. So easy ( pre 0.98.x ) that i made a mod to rebalance the entire economy. Even doing that i couldnt stop the eventual bill gates syndrome.

i think they need to make that bandits could steal money rather then meat.Hatsune_Neko wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 5:01 amIts still easy to make money in game. So easy ( pre 0.98.x ) that i made a mod to rebalance the entire economy. Even doing that i couldnt stop the eventual bill gates syndrome.
well we can make it that they can steal every money you got like a normal bandit would do "OR" make it that they steal about 50% of the money you got. If that doesnt work, make it that we can change the option on % what they can take off you in the advanced options when picking a beginning.

Too complicated. Why bandits would need money in the first place, anyway? Every "civilized" place they approach goes red alert and kicks their groins, thy can't spend that dough anywhere. Diffirent values when you're an outlaw, i guess, all you'll ever need are trusty friends, full belly and a good weapon.
ya true, but some bandits are greedy so they will take anything what they need to survive, even taking money from people. Also we need to make it that bandits take the players money so that the money would be some what balance where you dont get so god dam rich easy.Sol Lignum wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 4:00 pmToo complicated. humm... sounds good. We just need to find a way to make the money balance so we dont get rich so god dam easy.
Again this is an old an debate settled years ago.
They went with the unified cats system because otherwise you would have to carry cats around as inventory items. Then how would you buy things at the stores, you would have to micro manage pooling your money to one person all the time.
If they change it so cats can be looted from you then they should divide the total cats by the number of people you have in your faction and that would be each ones fair share. So the winners could loot cats/squaddies from each player and if your whole team got whacked then your would be broke. (unless they implement a buildable SAFE in your base where you can deposit reserves, again micro managing money)
Or you can just decrease the amount of money you get by selling things to vendors.
I think option 2 is easier. In fact I think there is a mod for that out there already.

not a big fan of mods, so they should have it in the game it self, rather then installing into the game.swillo wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 8:16 pmAgain this is an old an debate settled years ago.

Cats don't have to be an inventory item. It could just be a clean steal off of the cats you have through the system currently implemented. Maybe 5% of your cats for every squad member. It could be a mod too. It's just odd how these supposed evil people of slavers and bigots wouldn't steal off of the enemies they batter down.

I wouldn't mind to micromanage hard cash, honestly. After all, anytime you need some you're operating only one character, so i don't think it would be that much annoying.
Situations on the go on the other hand... If that moneykeeper of yours falls and robbed, you'll have to manually check every attacker for your money afterwards, and that is if you're victorious. Then if you'd share those money equally between that trading party, or whatever, you'll have to manually check if everyone's purse is still full, then repeat with the attackers.

For the sake of world balancing I just think keeping Cats/pretty much everything you have after you lose a fight is a little op for the player. Especially since one of the largest faction in the game (UC) is a society solely based upon your wealth. It's pretty much guaranteed that eventually the player can become a high standing noble in the UC's eyes. Perhaps the price of buying your way into their ranks should be higher? Maybe make it cost millions instead of just half a million or something. Like scale from 1 mil to 3.5 mil
Either that or have some way of losing your wealth as the Kenshi world ravages your character(s). IE: Knock down, get back up, repeat. Until your squad becomes capable enough to deserve the cats and social holdings they achieve.
