They should add in where you can ride on your Garru pet. They do have some kind of saddle on there back, so they should be able to ride on it.

Mounts are on the luxury features listing.
If it gets added, it will be after the game is released.

Maybe a DLC feature request thread then?

Actually, are there plans for how Kenshi will handle DLC or expansions? I hope there will be some. I googled a bit and didn't see any announcements.

Considering I bought Kenshi years ago pre-Steam Greenlight when it was just $10 I sure wouldn't mind plopping down some more coin on a worthy game. I would also back additional content if it were to be done via Kickstarter.

As I understand it, there are plans for post 1.0. But Chris has said he doesn't like paid DLC, so the luxury features may be sprinkled in here and there for some time. There are hints of a sort of "Kenshi 1.5", with a new island and some nifty new gameplay. So when we say "luxury features" that *may* mean stuff that is added completely free after the game is released as complete. As in, minimal gamebreaking bugs, full map, and the roadmap largely complete.

As you can see, on the "Lesser Priority and Luxury Features" section, several things that were going to be post release somehow snuck into the game already. *grin* My gut feeling is mounts and animal taming/hatching is a lot of work, and they are mainly working on tying up diplomacy and the new map (southeast section).

Some things have been a pleasant surprise. Martial Arts and robotic limbs are two notable things that I once thought were in the luxury features/post release area, but showed up anyway. From experience, the devs don't like to overpromise and end up not giving us what they said they could- which is a very good thing, and smart. We'll just have to wait and see. And send in those crash/bug reports, to make it a better game in the long run.

Dev has allready said any features not added before release will be free updates post release if they get time to work on them. Since they was cut due to time and budget reasons.
