Would be nice to delegate some people to repair gates in the event it gets damaged

Already exists. I think anyone who has been assigned to build buildings already tries to repair anything damaged in your outpost.

Vandala is correct indeed. The job's called "Engineer" which includes repairs as well, but it's currently only assignable through shift-click on unfinished buildings. If you have some projects you don't quite won't to build just yet, i've heard there's a specific pause button to put such things on hold.

But 'guard job' would be nice. Just like NPCs guards i wish we could set our guys at gate.

just make engineers prioritize gate repair
