Custom Map Markers?

I know that someone already requested this a while ago but since it was an answer n another feature request about the map as a whole I decided to make a new post for only this feature.

I feel like we should be able to mark certain locations on the map for our own without having to rely on pre-existing icons. Like if you find a nice looking location in your travels but you are nowhere near ready to settle down, you should be able to mark that spot. Thanks to modding you could also mark tiny encampments not worthy of being called an actual settlement, but that just serve as temporary storage space, this way.

I could think of other things this could be usefull but these are the most important ones so far. Maybe adding a small description to that POI would be a nice addon too.
