I personally think that with the creation of a new Kenshi game that it would be the perfect time to introduce a few new weapon types for greater diversity and overall immersion.

(Thrusting pole arms) I think that there should be a separate category for certain pole arms the are meant to be thrusted, such as the traditional spear, and ones for swinging for the Ge's and what not, which are the ones implemented in the first game. This seems like a good way to add a bit more diversity without needing a huge amount of work and effort.

(Daggers) A dagger would be a fast hitting but very low damage weapon, deadly if in the right hands. It could also give you the option to stealth kill or increase the chance of successfully doing so.

(Bows) This could also be implemented fairly easily, and still add diversity. Bows could have a faster reload rate and generally used by bandits and such, while crossbows could have high armor piercing capabilities and be used by professional armies.

(Throwing) A throwing knife to a javelin, these could change a lot of what happens in combat compared to the first game, with something like a shield to counter such items. it would make the player need to think more of how to approach a situation.

(Axes) This would normally end up under "Hackers" in the first game but I thought they could use a category on their own as to add more diversity and immersion

(Double edged swords) These weapons would end up in the "Saber" category, but double edged swords worked plenty different to a saber, sabers being meant to slice while double edged swords originally being made to stab. Double edged swords also required a lot more strength to wield then a similarly sized saber.

(PS) This is not exactly a weapon type, but would dual wielding be possible? Within reasonable bounds of course so no dual spears or something of that nature. Also remember these are suggestions, not demands (actually they are) so if some of these are a bit to difficult to do in the current time frame I understand.
