SO! in a desert one of the most important things is water, perhaps the most important thing, so why not implement a water bar? It would be just like a food bar except it would decrease quite a bit quicker.
This would be like immersion increase by 1000000,

I thought about this too, I can't help but assume Chris must have had hydration as a thing at some point in development. Thing is, I think it just gets too fiddly, it would really add a whole lot more micro to squad management for not much gain. I just assume that every meal they eat comes with a drink
The problem is that realistic amounts of water necessary to survive trekking through the desert for a week or more would require an actual caravan and large tank(s) to carry it in.... you're not going to survive with some personal canteen for the lengths of time that your squads spend out and about. I mean our characters should also get tired and need to sleep more often than just "i need your leg to heal faster," right? For any "real" immersion-levels of water and sleep, the gameplay would just get picky and boring and the next thing you know they're using the loo also and suddenly you're playing The Sims

You might be right, but I was thinking it didn't have to be realistic, I think a personal canteen would be fine. It doesn't' have to be realistic, just something else to be a bit concerned about but hey, that's me.
Yes it was originally planned but it was skipped due to the balance of micro management/fun that you mentioned.spacefiddle wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 2:23 pmI thought about this too, I can't help but assume Chris must have had hydration as a thing at some point in development. I personally thing they should put it on a check box in the advanced options and allow those of us who are gluttons for punishment to turn it on.
