This has part to do with the throwing weapons that I suggested in another post, but for very experienced characters to deflect projectiles would be badass. This would give you the feeling of your characters being just that much cooler. I would recommend this would have something to do with the dexterity stat.

Seems like a good idea! How about, for the sake of balance, the option of deflecting the projectiles would only be possible if your dexterity stat is quite bigger than the enemy's.For example: if your dexterity is above 80 and the enemy's sharpshooter skill is not above 60, then you can deflect the shot. This would make it so that you feel, like you are a badass, unless the enemy shooter is a badass as well! This would also give you that "oh no!" moment, when you encounter an enemy who suddenly goes all Witcher on your arrows!

This could be a very interesting mechanic! Especially gives a twist to NPCs, as player-squad ranged weapons become very powerful - stronger NPCs will be harder to just pincushion with your firing line.

IMO it should be a calculated chance per shot, as nothing in Kenshi is guaranteed.

Different weapons could have a modifier to how suitable they are to deflection - assigned based on a combination of blade size (making it easier) and weapon weight (making it harder). A wakizashi wouldn't be so good, but neither would a Fragment Axe.

Martial Artists could have a chance per incoming shot to catch arrows. For additional immersion, said projectiles would be found in that character's inventory :).

Both methods could also use Projectile Speed as an opposing stat, with faster projectiles being harder. So relatively easy to deflect or catch a Toothpick, much harder to stop an Eagle's Cross, damn near impossible to stop the Tanegashima Gun.

This could work very well, great suggestion!
