For Kenshi 2's inventories to go by "First in, last out"

It's probably too late to implement for K1 even if you had the time, but...
I see a lot of workflow and logistics jams occur because a worker grabs, say, 5 iron.... gets to the destination but can only deposit four of them. They fill their inventory spaces when picking up in a "Left -> Right / Top -> Bottom" priority, but then they follow the same order when putting stuff down - so it leaves irregular shapes in the inventory grid as the orphaned item is now in the middle of what used to be a large block of usable space.
I'd be willing to bet that a change like this - picking up stays the same but any "giving" action is in the reverse order - would be almost as effective as a detailed and complicated priority overhaul, or implementing a work-token system, or other such solutions, and in a fraction of the time to implement. Maybe. I hope?
