I was just watching a HoI 3 video and then I saw the guy demoting and promoting generals. I thought to myself: "What if we had a similiar system in Kenshi"? We could name the ranks and put what they could and could not do, and from which rank they wold have to fight little and command alot the troops. A 5-star genera, then some lower generals, a sergeant leading a squad of newly-recruited privates, a corporal dispatching the sergeants and telling them where they wold patrol, etc.
I was also going around the Warhammer 40k wikia and I saw that humannity had not one, not two but THREE big armies. I thought after the HoI 3 video that we could have this too.

There ya go, nothing else.

i support this.All the customized name would be cool if you have some kind of bandit gang (Rookie/Cutthroat,regular/brigand,officer/black coats,etc).

More importantly, this would help us sort their equipment. I'd organize it so captains would get the best stuff, rookies would get the bottom of the barrel, and some ranks would specialize into being medics and such.

I think they are planning to have that, luckily enough.

I already have made my rank list XD.

There will be other biomes, like forests, mountainous areas, swamps, etc.

I still think wood equipment is unlikely as it is incredibly unrealistic.

Just because it's a forest it doesn't mean there won't be cheap militia with civilian equipment. Just wait for their wood armour, you just wait... also about that of the stakes, that's how ridiculous my faction's gonna be XD.
