Unarmed Combat and 'Exotic Weapons'

Just thought I'd throw my tuppence in here.
So I know that Unarmed combat has been mentioned as being implemented at somepoint and perhaps blunt weapons of a sort but I thought I might throw some ideas out for this.
I myself do several martial arts and use several weapons so I am kinda educated on this subject.
Unarmed Combat/Martial Arts
With the Unarmed combat, will there be different 'Styles' or 'Arts' to choose between which will be useful in different combat situations and have different animations and skills/stats?
For example-
Tae-Kwon-Do (My main Martial Art) is mainly focused around Kicking and would perhaps be more aimed at keeping an opponent at a distance, while perhaps Krav Maga (Israeli Self Defence) would be better against enemies wielding a one handed weapon, and Muay-Thai (Thai-Kickboxing) would be more effective at close range and hitting enemies multiple times in quick succession.
Perhaps even a style of 'Gutter' fighting, focusing on just running in and beating the poor sod senseless, which would probably only be effective against those not trained in any form of Organised Unarmed Combat.
It'd be great to have a character who is a martial arts master who can own anyone in anyway XD And perhaps we could be able to have a character with a high enough skill to train another character up to a skill equal to 60% of their own, because Martial Arts can kinda be taught without sparring.
Another thing with Unarmed combat is, how would damage be calculated to simulate something realistic and balanced? Because if you're strong and skilled enough you can crack an Adult's Ribs with a simple Palm Strike (I have done something equivalent so it is possible).
Perhaps it would be a calculation involving the Skill, Strength, Dexterity and which Limb hit with what kind of strike?
For Example- An amateur tries punching a guy in the ribs when he's wearing body armour, you'd probably end up breaking your fist doing some damage to the Amateur instead, but a Master with good strength and dexterity, side-kicking a man in the face would probably succeed in breaking his jaw or snapping his neck and so do a massive amount of Damage to his head.
I guess another thing to take into account is how combat against those wielding a weapon would be done. Perhaps instead of blocking, the character would focus more on dodging unless using a Martial Art focused on combat against that kind of weapon (Krav Maga focuses on disarming opponents wielding Knives/One handed weapons or Firearms) where they will attempt to block and counter.
'Exotic Weapons'- Nuchuku and the like
It'd be interesting to see how these kind's of weapons would be implemented (if they ever are) mainly because of how different the styles are of each.
Nunchuku are a pretty useless weapon (Trust me, I know) unless the person is standing three feet away and you are a Master at using the bloody things, but it would bloody hurt if smacked someone with it, though I doubt it would do any lasting damage.
Eskrima Rattan Sticks (3 foot long weapons from the Philippines) are fairly good and could be a feasible device to use against conventional weapons like the Katana, and can be used as a single stick with a free hand with which to punch, block, and aid in disarming opponents, or as two sticks, useful for fighting groups or rapidly blocking, countering and attacking a single opponent.
The Bo (a 5 or 6 foot long quarter-staff) is a rather cumbersome weapon to start with but once you get your head round it you can do some fancy and effective stuff. Definitely useful in Group and One-on-One combat and probably extremely useful against any opponent, especially those not using a form of weapon and attacking unarmed and perhaps even effective at blocking arrows when Bows are implemented.
Kama (Sometimes referred to as Kai and resembling a Small Scythe) is originally a crop tool that doubles up a Weapon which can be wielded as a single weapon in one hand or one in each. This would probably be the the only weapon capable of cutting and Piercing damage and only really effective against three or less opponents but perhaps effective against smaller bladed weapons such as the Katana but extremely lethal in the hands of someone trained in its militaristic use.
Thoughts?
