Human Power

So I was reading the update info and it mentions power and generators. A neat power device would be something that could be powered by humans [While perhaps levelling up their strength-related skills or something]. What do you think?

Yeah but then you have to deal with the occasional freed slave that worships Crom. And let me tell you that generally ends badly.

And then his buddy who has been cranking for the last three months decides to help and can break a man's entire skeleton with a single punch, your guard force are kind of screwed XD

I like this idea, as it could be useful when just starting up a town. You know, that special period where you build some housing and maybe a couple workshops before building more concrete structures like power generators and walls. And because it's a power supply based off of rotational energy, it wouldn't be too hard to convert it to a wind turbine later... at least in theory.

I prefer putting my slaves to make footballs with Nike logos, work on fields and carry water for my soldiers than making them them walk in circles. It feels more useful and creative and human.

Let the wind bring power and slaves bring stuff.

If by 'badly' you mean '15 years of labor followed by selling him as a high priced gladiator', I don't see the down side. A wheel of pain looks like 'win' to me.

Resurrecting this thread because...
+1 to structures that produce power when a char is operating it
