Since this game is unique and you can zoom out lots of time to see your entire surroundings, do you think this game could use "banner icons" so you can spot other squads easily?

It would help a lot, would save much time I spend in pause mode trying to click those little dots on the horizon to figure out which faction they belong to.

Yes, with the banner icons, it makes NPC spotting and actions more easier. You can select a banner (which selects the entire squad)

Also, it can have secondary options such as "move at the same time" for slower members and set its "aggression range" to make squad management less cumbersome.

Yeah banner icons would let you have easier control of a whole squad, and make the battlefield that much easier to read. There could even be a little tooltip that pops up when you mouse over it, showing how many men are left, average health, etc, like in the total war games.

Me: Do I even have to do it at this point?
Me: Yes, you do.
Me: But it'll make me look like a total douche...
Me: I don't care. The idea is more important than your identity as a "not douche"

So.. enjoy reading this... it has more to do with icons. http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... =16&t=2471

Have them for your squad only. And unless they have radios, only visual range of where you're looking currently.

would be silly if bandits had some battle standard, since they're just a gang.

I don't know where else to put this, so I'm just gonna throw it in this thread:

if you get to a certain point with a faction where your relation is very friendly - like, if they see you getting attacked, they'll protect their ally - then I think you should be able to recruit members into your own faction and grow your numbers that way. I'm making a lot of leeway to getting the sand ninjas to like me, and I want it to really pay off by having a bunch of their guys asking to join me.

Then, when they do join, and I decide I want to attack another faction and their cities, they'll contribute to the war effort by joining your side and, depending on who has the smaller numbers, allow your/their faction to recruit NPCs from the ally's faction.
