X-Y Rotation for Buildings

especially in mountains and rocky terrain it is hard to build buildings in a horizontal fashion.
Most buildings tilt towards the ground or sky, that's why I would like to rotate the building so that it becomes horizontal.

Alternatively would a button suffice, which puts the building in the horizontal if pressed.

I like. I'm pretty sure that an easy-snap or a toggle that let's you rotate in specific angle increments has been mentioned before, but I think the manual rotation on x-y might be new. I know I've personally talked about a button to snap a building 0 angles in x and y, but preserve z rotation.

The question that comes to mind, if you were given x-y rotation in the same method that we have z rotation, could you produce a level building? Or would they still be slightly off?

Depends on the sensitivity of the rotation - if you only allow, say +/- 30° and 0,5° - 1° change per button click it should be easy.

Even without it the player will at least be able to rotate it in a position of his liking
