Choice of character's Rules of Engagement

As i was playing, I noticed as traders walk by( I'm in a negative faction rating with the guild) my guys would run and auto attack. Even after i told him to walk back, as soon as he was done moving, he would run to re-engage the target. Truthfully, it kind of makes it difficult to keep the area from turning into a warzone.

I would like to see something that allows you to choose the character's stance for battle "rules of engagement." I feel this could enhance the game, as well as stay within its intended "squad based rpg" style.

For example, something that allows me to select "Stand your ground" to not move unless the enemy gets within sword's length.
Or when auxiliary weapons become integrated, "Hold your fire" could be a selection.

Food for thought!

On a side note, I need a ninja smiley. This is blasphemy. :P

Relatively sure that's already planned, just not in yet (probably around the time of multiple squads). Though it would be nice to get it in ASAP. At the very least a stand-ground command.

You can use at the moment the Block for "stand the ground", they will not go to the enemies stay in thei places blocking, at least to me tend to do that, but once they in range, the enemies will attack anyway, so theres never much of an "escape".
