People get cut up alot in this game so either everybody has either a disorder or is a bloody badass because they feel so pain. So far you only get differences in character performance if the limb reaches 0, but what of in between? Depending on how the character is getting rested a pain meter should go up and down maxing at agony while it's lowest point is extreme comfort. If you get a big gash on your arm your pain meter would go up. But let's say your guy goes under alot of punishment. He's a tough guy so he's use to it and shrugs it off. But buddy whacks em on the side of the head with his club. Your guy now feels like crap, he'd crippled by the pain and can't think straight, he's off balance, he can't react in time and in all the pain is a massive distraction. He passes out as the adrenaline dies off.He wakes up his head still throbbing but relatively unscathed.
Chances are story session was very poor thanks to me. I'll sum it up and add some other stuff.
Seperate bar for pain going from agony to comfort, some people are less affected by pain, pain causes one to fight worse, enough pain knocks a character out. Possible weapons specialized for pain, comfort (hunger, sleep, thirst, health) could give bonuses to combat. Unrelated, I feel like bleeding should affect ones fighting ability. Dizziness, eh?

I've never been a fan of the last chance hit point but the way wounds work in Kenshi currently is rather unlike how they will work soon. Fully removing a limb at this point is impossible, however in the not so distant future severing an arm will result in massive blood loss and a quick loss of consciousness and death without treatment.
I'm intrigued by the concept of some sort of pain tolerance threshold stat and factoring in that sort of thing, but I'm not entirely sure how easy it would be to add into the game.

I think a pain threshold wouldnt be that hard to add
IMO it would mostly just be a a stat that is based of your other stats.
eg: All your physic related stats have some effect on your Pain Threshold stat
Pain threshold = (Strengh x 0.5) + (Endurance x 0.5) + (Agility x 0.2) = (other physic stats)
this would make any veteran fighter able to fight to the end, while at the same time those who dont like to be hit (arhers ect) still fear pain.
As for how exactly pain would work, i was thinking something along the lines of taking a certain suden amount of punishment & the amount of punishment you took over time.
damage of hit needed to feint: 100 + pain stat - 1 for each 2.5 damage sustained to any part of the body.
so for the defender to feint, the attacker needs to strike for 100dmg + the pain stat of the defender - 1 for each 5dmg the defender has already recieved.
EXAMPLE 1:
attacker hits for 30dmg
defender has pain stat of 20
defender has no injuries
50 dmg is needed before the defender will feint
EXAMPLE 2:
attacker hits for 30dmg
defender has pain stat of 20
defender has total 200dmg of injuries
30 dmg is needed before the defender will feint
I think that if a person feints due to the pain stat, they should be revived once medically treated.
They really only fell unconcious due to the pain and not total loss of energy or blood.
Edit: fixed some typos
