I dont think it would fit in but i would love to see
snowy forest biome
effects
snow flakes and limited distance
almost freezing temps
snow tracks so you can follow things for hunting, killing, etc.

Sounds really fun
Seismic area with volcano(s):
Earthquakes
Fires
High temperature
Ash limiting view distance
Toxic gas - gas masks
Rear ores for high end research/crafting
High risk of disasters and only high lvl enemies

I ma try one too.
Jungle biome:
"Yo-yo weather", both heavy rain or really hot weather, making stamina wear faster due to fast exchange, maybe some other i don´t recall at the moment
Possible encounters with toxic zones due to tropical poisonous plants
High cohabitant of cannibals tribes(i guess is wrong written, as are lot others here xD)
Dense forests (or parts), making harder to pass through or the need to walk around for a longer road
Good source for stronger wood for materials, also lot wanted from other factions of course
There other things which can also fit but i do not remember for now.

Ever notice that the hat trader sign has a gas mask on it. It reminds me a lot of the sunobuzo anime. Considering the hat trader is often with the equipment trader, i have a hunch this is because he will be selling survival equipment for the harsh biomes.

"City biome"
Might somewhat relate to any city there is but what I was thinking is this huge city in one corner of the map. Maybe kind of a capital. And by huge I really mean enormous! Same size as the other biomes out there and maybe it could "go on" even out of the map but you just can't access to the other end. Big city with lots of stuff to explore.
Lot's of police and maybe rival gangs fighting each other to gain control of city blocks (Might be hard to code. I don't know.)
Riots and demonstrations
Political battles, corruption and treachery
Lots of pickpockets
Lots of different shops
Lots of people
Monasteries and churches
Statues
Pubs
Narrow streets
Stray dogs and other stray animals
Garbage and pollution, occasional smog?
This might be little too dominant and people stopped caring about the smaller cities and outposts though. And I'm not even sure would this fit in Kenshi at all
but I'd still find it interesting to explore these kind of big communities in game. Just a thought : p

Lol deserts are already in (though the effects aren't). I was thinking of a sorta swamp / forest area. Lots of standing water to wade through with a very thick canopy of trees and a large amount of creatures both tree-bound and water-bound.
The water makes it so characters with replacement limbs have to be carried. There's plenty of wood, but its a total hassle to move it out of the swamps, due to the high water and pests. Such an area would be rather high level itself and/or serve as a natural border for other biomes. Hell I know I'd try to build a hideout in there, simply because an army wouldn't be able to effectively seige anything in that biome.

Yeah, swamp or marshland would be awesome, with the water affecting the speed at which your squad can move and hampering efforts to fight. The humidity would probably have an adverse effect on endurance, but I imagine it being fairly fertile country - as long as you can survive the lurking crocodiles and buzzing clouds of disease-carrying mosquitoes.
In all honesty, I just want to be able to go all Outlaws of the Marsh.

Ever notice the gasmasks on the hat signs, the use of technology in a desert "wasteland". The more I play this game the more it looks like a post apocalyptic japan. Any way I too was thinking of a huge scale city in a corner of the map, other than in my mind I saw a burned/bombed out destroyed city, run ramp it with bandits of a new more advanced kind. More like a ruin to view into the history of what caused kenshi.Santaissick wrote:"City biome"

Heh, kinda funny, the biome I suggested is one of the additional biome we get the most news about. Maybe Chris likes my ideas! (Hope my Nekuman ideas get in too!
)
If you're curious, just search for it using that little bar up and to the right.
Edit: there's no "fingers crossed" emote. /sad
