It should be useful, bcause its easy to balance it, and it was in Japan.

This reminds me of the (late)sengoku jidai era in japan. Hence the use of Arquebus(Teppos) in Nobunaga's later campaigns.

Maybe a steampunk harpoon-arquebus? The look of an arquebus but with harpoons as ammo. (throwing ideas here)

First arqebus used arrows as ammo.

Maybe the thread should be merged? We already have pretty big firearms thread existing. It's good to have new thoughts about old subjects once in a while
