Shields and sandworms. (or sand-dragons)

I see lots of weapons which have been suggested. I honestly do not think there is enough variety in the armor or weapons department. But Shields are a definite need.. As swords are the main attraction and a samurai type shield is rare. I would presume shields are rare. however this does not mean they cannot be totally removed. For example the police kind of need a riot shield to make them look more authentic. Thier cover lokos rather lame in my opinion. The armor looks like it was made in the back yard which is a rustic-asian far off worlder of Dune I presume...

BTW Make sand worms... No questions needed. If it's a desert sand worms are the way to go. I am pretty sure everyone jump if a worm just came out of no where and devoured a bunch of men who were bandits fighting right from under them.

Lizards also seems very appropriate for this kind of world. I also think there should be some water like oasis' *Very rare, but helps keep the game going. They would give a bonus to crops. I will post things about crops in another thread.

Back to shields shields would be necessary for some playstyles as guards for example they help slow the enemy down. Even if they are weak hungry bandits you can guarantee 5 of them will kill your best armored guard before the rescue team comes. Just saying. A Shield must be acquired. It's not something everyone has either. So it's an option to be there for some factions like police or another.... Also since there are mountains---there would be ice on top despite being a desert.

Dude you're getting on my nerves it's not the same. I suggest things specifically based on unique gameplay. Some people might say ADD SHEILDS but I said add SWAT SHIELDS OR RIOT SHIELDS! I also said add something of a shield unique to the asian culture BIG BIG BIG DIFFERENCE.
I said they would be rare, and also somewhat of a bother- as the only advantage is for you to use them against mass mobs (mostly defence of a base.)

Actually its Dudette tyvm.
We try and keep ideas generalized so we don't have 50 millions threads about different items that fit into certain groups., Half this forum area is now filled with your ideas and nearly every single one has been suggested before in different forms or another.

If you want to post your ideas on shields then look up shields and post in the topic that's already open. Goes for other items you request or thinking about.
nearly everything has been requested at one point and time already.

We not trying to be mean but it makes it hard for the Dev team to read all of the requests if people make 50 threads for one item then keep doing that. after a short while you got thousands of duplicate requests for the same thing.
Kinda like someone makes a thread that requests stone shields
then someone makes a new thread asking for wood ones and so on.
where as it would make life easier if all those were put into a single thread only.

So please in the future use search before making new threads.

I understand what you mean but it's way easier for the mods and the developer and other forum users if everything shield related is in a topic regarding shields. Not in a 100 different topics regarding what specific shields people want to the game. Stuff is easier to find if they are sorted.

That's why people should use search before posting new ideas to see if exactly same thing is suggested already. If it really is a new idea or slightly differs from old suggestion, one should contribute his thoughts on a proper thread to create discussion, add new colors to discussion and bump the topic to bring it back to life and let new people join to the old discussion. That's the way to really learn what other people want from the game and compare different point of views.

1. Sandworms. Sandworms here are like hydra in half-life 2 beta: they are cool when you watch how it kills s*it, but then it kills u... Worms are cool in dune, but there are armies in dune, not small 20 persons froups.

2. Lisards. Use search.

3. Shields. For guards, yep. Light shields - kenshis are usually fast warriors.
