Footprints/Tracking (Duplicate)

Having spent the first few hours of my time in this game roaming the deserts (something I actually enjoy) I realised there were no tracks left by people or caravans. This could actually be quite a nice game mechanic for both locating hidden bandit camps or yourself being found out by roaming cannibals etc.
Perhaps for the more sneaky or cautious player who may want to keep their camp hidden, they could have the character drag a heavy mat behind them, slowing their movement but concealing their trail. Perhaps introduce specialist footwear that leaves more shallow footprints, which then in turn fade away quicker.
When the weather system comes along that can affect the tracks, reducing the time they remain.
Towns and other areas may get spammed and look weird so perhaps the ground around buildings has an attributed 'hardness' which reduces the presence of footprints?
