As of now, the only way to get your skills up out side of combat is to use training dumdums, this way only trains your attack skill, so it would be nice to have a building, For say a Sparing Ring where you can get up too four people in it to train, you can even go as far as select who is the target, what skill to train and who are the attackers, so that things like mass combat, when it is added, defense and attack can all be trained, even later when bows are added, they can train arrow defense with wooden arrows and padded armor.

Also, You could add new weapons and armor to the game, made for training that would give a boost to the training process.

Now onto my other idea of conveyor belt.

At the moment now, I have all the tech research, and am stuck using the tier five stone processes, even tho I would rather use the tier four one sense I have to use a squad member to run stone from the automatic mine to the automatic stone processor and the building materials to the storage box.

Now one of two things can be done, or even both, One you could add conveyor belts to the game that would, slowly transport the stone from the mine to the processor, or Ore from the ore mine to the steel processor but not from the processors to any of the storage boxes, as a "human" would have to do that manually.

Two, you could have it in the building interface when you click on the mines, processors, research bench or anything that has a multiple tier, that it opens another layer of the building interface(like when you click the building button next to orders, then click on buildings it takes you to another set of options) that lets you pick the tier of building you want as long as you have it researched.

This is just my suggestion, that would help smooth things out in the long run.

-=Addon=-
Along the lines of the automatic transport of items, it would also be nice if instead of transporting the water in barrels( like WTF, where do you get the wood for the barrels anyways?), have it where you can lay a pipe to the farms that would allow the people to work it to pull water from it, for say from a bucket or add a bucket to the game that the farmers or rum makers have to have in they're inventory to carry the water to the machine or farm land.

There have been literally dozens of threads requesting sparring, duels, and other forms of live training.
Beat a dead horse with a dead horse some more.

+1 to conveyor belt "pathway" that connects one structure's Output to another's Input (would be used to move to storage as well)
The conveyor construction could function similar to pathways in RollerCoaster Tycoon, but in Kenshi's case, it could function similar to how walls are constructed currently.
I would also note that this should only benefit buildings that require Power in order to function, since there is already electrical power available to power the "automatic" part.

This could also lead to a new storage structure(s) that has a chute on top to accept a conveyor.

I don't think that the drop off point for steel, ore, stones or building materials should be automated as it would take a human degree of awareness to stack them properly in a storage container for it to have its full storage potential.

Unless the building it self was made to stack them much more efficiently, like additional equipment in the building and such.

Think of how gravel, sugar, iron, etc. are transported via train. There's a chute that pours into the top of the container since there is no real purpose (or its impossible) to organize/stack those specific goods.
That's understandable for building materials, but that is mostly for transportation.
I can't think of any other goods in Kenshi that require proper stacking in order to be dropped in a box.
