Today i witnessed the new turrets in action, and my squad hit themselves more then they hit the enemies. One thing that has bothered me is the arrow sticks out AFTER first aid is given.
What would help immersion, as well as being super cool, is if during first aid there were special arrow removal animations, complete with kicking and screaming dependent on toughness level.

lol
yea
that would be kinda nice.
all mine had arrows sticking out of them after several battle's.
waiting for one to shoot themselves in the foot!
least its mostly realistic. my first time using a bow ( IRL ) i'm surprised i didn't accidently shoot the person behind me.

Do you believe the sexes should be equal?

i have had a pitchfork go thru my foot before so,
i can imagine pulling out a arrow from another part of your body to be just as painful.

Considering the fact that in the old days if a soldier was hit with an arrow during a battle It wasn't removed for a couple of days I think having them stick out of people is a good thing. They used to just snap the arrows off about an inch or two from the wound and burn the surface around it so the soldier could keep fighting. That is providing they didn't die from the arrow in the first place or the impending infection a short time later. Most wounds, from projectiles such as arrows, back then were basically a death sentence. With no way to defeat infections from dirty arrows, if the arrow didn't kill them on impact it would finish the task within a week or two.
Also the shape of the arrow head comes into play. Majority of arrow heads were designed with hooks or barbs pointing away from the tip. Making it not only safer to leave the arrow in, but forcing the arrow to have to be pushed all the way through. Because pulling it out would inturn do more damage than the original wound by hooking behind flesh and bone, even tearing at organs. Not a pleasant way to go that's for sure.

so does this mean that we need to have surgery? If you get hit with an arrow you need to go to either the town surgeon or to your bases surgery table?
This adds a whole lot of new gameplay when you think about it. The surgeon in brink has been eaten by cannibals, so they need Dr bones from the chaos legion to fill in for a bit until a replacement is found....
and new research too, like an automated surgeon. It would also be a new source of money and training, you can get paid to help the town doctor by holding people down while he operates, handing tools, sterilizing tools, and doing light first aid.
this would help with the skill leveling.
