Clearing out purchased buildings in towns
I love the ability to purchase some buildings in established towns. I especially favor Brink. A feature I would love to see added is the ability to clear out fixtures from a purchased building, to not be stuck with the potentially undesirable clutter of scattered storage units, counters, weapon racks, and unusable beds. Just as I don't expect an apartment I rent or house I buy to be filled with someone else's stuff, else it will quickly go to the curb, there should be a way to tear down existing fixtures, if not automatically clear out the building when ownership changes hands. It's ultimately more practical to build my own town, but it's nice to have a place to lick my wounds when I fail in defense and have enough infrastructure there to still get some stuff done.

It is a bug if you are playing on a map pre 0.67.1 Importing your map may or may not solve the problem only 100% is to start a new world
I've never used a version prior to 0.67.2. Some buildings I buy are cleared, others aren't. No apparent pattern. One time I bought a couple buildings in Capan and they were all cleared out. I took all my party back to Brink to pick up some Building Materials and, when I came back to Capan, the ownership had reverted and when I re-purchased one, it was no longer cleared, but full of junk furniture. Glad to know that it is supposed to be clear. I look forward to when it works consistently.

There seem to be some issues occurring with buildings that are purchased if the game is saved while the camera is farther away from the building and loading the save file.
If you can produce a concrete procedure to make this occur, could you post it here for us?

Are you suggesting that if I'm zoomed in during the purchase, it is more likely to be cleared? Or just that if I'm zoomed out during the save/load it's more likely to forget it was cleared or even purchased? I'll definitely create a new save and experiment with that.

Okay. I have not yet been been able to get a building to clear upon purchase. I've even selected a house, then moved my character away from the loaded area, purchased it, then came back into the area and while it was purchased, it was still full of junk. The only time I've had a house that I know was full of stuff clear upon purchase was the original incident in Capan. I wasn't even able to duplicate that feat with the same buildings. I think the bug is more than just loading and proximity. I'll continue to see if I can get any solid results, but I'm not optimistic.

To add to this. I think he's basically saying loading the game "in another load area".
I know that at one point, I had loaded a save game without any of my characters being in the 'load area" of my outpost. I checked my research tab, and it was claiming that I had no stations, no research tables, and ultimately no outpost. This was fixed as soon as I had loaded that area.
I have also noticed this being the case with research tables despite having people inside my outpost. My research claims i have no tables until I've loaded that area, and it's also become apparent that none of my people are doing anything until I've loaded that area with the camera.

I've never had a problem with my constructed outpost. Even loading way outside the area, party members left behind continue their assigned tasks. I've also had no problem with infrastructure built inside a purchased building disappearing. My problem only pertains to getting a purchased building cleared and to stay clear.
Ordered a new motherboard and processor for my nicer desktop, so hopefully I can get it up and running and try out Kenshi on a strong build. Should speed up the gameplay faster than my laptop and run more stably than the desktop I'm currently using. I'll get back to testing stuff out once it's fixed.

This is the most annoying bug. it would be worked around by adding a 'destroy X' option in the interaction menu for each object. Not only would it help with this bug, but it would allow you to remodel your settlement, etc.
tl;dr- OP's suggestion was an awesome idea.
