The Drip Stick is essentially a gun
A Long pipe with a Metal ball in it and hits targets really really hard from a good distance.
It doesn't use gun powder, but instead some smart guy decided to use water and electricity together, discovered Hydrogen, and found out it went boom.

How it works
A Bottle of water is tied in at the top of the back end of the barrel. Upon the trigger being pulled the bottle lets out 3 little drops filling a small canal, after a second or two a small rod in the canal super heats and electrifies it causing it toe go boom sending the pellet out to its target at good speed.

The Weapon does good damage able to kill a person instantly if the bullet hits their head and can be used at a far away range out of the enemies sight.

Its major trouble is that it takes a un godly long times to reload
taking 5 (ingame) minutes to reload and 3 more to fire. Also bullets shot from it leave a small trail of vapor behind that if followed will reveal the users position.


The gun is Accurate in its own regards but is not the easiest thing to aim by the modern individual.
Endurance (covering your accuracy with this weapon), Dexterity (Your reload speed) and Perception (your range accuracy) all 3 needed at at least 10 just to hit properly with it or else your just shooting hoping for a lucky shot.


They are Used by two kinds of NPC
Sand Ninja Snipers who are rare but known to hide in the valleys waiting for a idiot to pass their site.

Bounty Hunter Groups: A group of 3 2 having heavy weapons an the last using a drip gun, Don't attack unless certain you can win. Will attack you if you have committed a crime and have a bounty on you.

and we know guns won't be added.

It'd probably just be better to degrade it into a blow pipe for cannibals and leave it at that.

Nice original design and background however.

No idea how "drip stick" is an accurate description though.

As for those bounty hunters, I'd assume they'd get a crossbow or some equivalent instead.

would have to agree.
this kitteh knows a bit about science and what it takes to make hydrogen. so the idea of a hydrogen gun is outlandish. even making a small amount of hydrogen as per this feature request is impossible unless you want to light a cigarette. and barely at that considering the time frame from making to ignition of said particle.

Replace 'hydrogen' with 'compressed air' and you essentially have what powers the current crossbow turrets.

Also, if Chris is wanting to re-implement blood at some point, I don't see why he shouldn't also add fire particles as well (obviously not to allow guns, but some other elements... like smoking or bonfires or being able to ignite pitch on fire).

Just so we're not berating OP's suggestion *entirely* into the ground, there will be personal-sized crossbows (and other ranged weaponry) in the future, but there will likely be nothing that requires more than the weapon and its ammunition in order to function (i.e. black powder, bottles of water, etc.) just to fit within Kenshi's vision of being focused mainly on close-quarters-combat.

I do like that OP included Attributes that would affect this weapon's performance, in addition to basic lore, and where this weapon would be used, initially.

I'm in agreement with RighteousSinner, the most exotic, stealthy, long-range weapon that would be fitting within Kenshi's vision would be either a blowpipe or a sling/slingshot (both of which are incredibly accurate from 70 - 100 yards out).

Well, maybe we could get the cannibals to call their blowpipe a "Drip Stick" when they're released.
