As of now if I'm not mistaken, cannibals can only lock you in the the cells, throw you on the grill and then they eat you. I'd like to see cannibals actually cutting off limbs and eating a person bit by bit. It doesn't have to be a specific animation for each limb, just a universal one.
When one of my guys gets captured I barely give half a shit about it since I have more than enough time to gather my troops and rescue him, but if I knew he might lose a limb as time passes, I'd freak my shit out, as it's a real tangible consequence for taking too long to save him. It would also be fun to have a little reminder of what happens to people who understimate the cannibals if you have one or two guys in your base missing an arm or two.
The game will already include maiming, so I don't think It'd be hard to implement that.
And of course, give the player the same ability. It'd also be great to have a base surrounded by amputated limbs from your enemies impaled on spikes to scare the living shite of anybody who decides to pass through your base.

Cool. What about effigies? I'd love to make a character based on Vlad the impaler.

That seems like an excellent idea
Bandits hardly give two rats about you and your retinue, even if you're a bunch of fearless warriors, top-geared war machines, but a Fear System could be truly, truly amazing, some sort of adornments, enemy trophies to wear on your armors to give the enemy that -Better not mess with- type of behavior.
The game hasn't got a karmic/character rep system, so it doesn't really matter if you're a raider, or a peacekeeper, no evil no good, grey plate.
I depend much on my squaddies, to have one get captured, lose limb per limb as time progresses, wow.. that's some heavy penalty, but in the future, perhaps, it could have cybernetic limbs, to replace lost parts, or, weak flesh muscles
The first time I've seen cannibal action.. I was truly scared, I started that playthrough, Cannibal Hunters, my team got captured, but they didn't do anything to us, at the same time, they were under attack by dust bandits, and oh S.. they carried one by one, one day passed they just randomly beat the S out some Dust bandits that were in the closest cells.. it only got creepy after that

Yeah, I'd also love to wear my opponent's skin as part of my garment to optimize the "holy fucking shit" factor, like the Assassin Bug, the badass of insects.

not yet, a system along those lines is planned.

That's pretty complicated, would it inflict relations with certain Goody-do factions if the player went criminal? if so, it's going to be a mess, sure, you can dislike the Holy Nation and raid them, it can make you a devil in their eyes, but being so, would affect your relations with the Imperial Lords? UC? well, if you're a dust bandit who waylay trade routes between factions, then I'd understand the global pariah, otherwise seems silly.

unknown.
i just know basic things that will be added, not the full details how it will affect other items unless the Devs actually say it some place.
My info comes from watching both forums, the main web page, Twitters and any other source's i can read up on. and a lot of times the info is incomplete or only basic descriptions.
