Lo-Fi Games

I know that formations were suggested previously, but I'm thinking of something a little easier and less complex.

I would like to see a follow option called "single file", where the characters of a squad would follow a leader in squad order. They would line up behind and follow the character who is in front of them in the squad list. This would make travel through rocky areas smoother with fewer squaddies getting stuck.

Also an option to "Trail" or "Tail" someone. There are times that I would like to follow a group who might not be friendly, or they are and I just don't want to follow them too close. It would be the same as the follow option but it would follow outside of combat range and just inside my characters perception range.

I will be gone all weekend so there is no rush on these

Yeah formations would be nice , you can sorta get one now by telling different people to follow different people which can give you a somewhat staggered formation. but thats the best i've got :d

theres also the whole single line that seems the default walking formation.

but i'd love fighting formations too. if spears/pikes ever get added hoplite formations would be cool ^.^ and people fighting an supporting each other.

without getting in the way of those fighting causing both to get injured.

I am suspicious that this might be what the "mass combat" skill covers, that its a skill used for fighting and moving with each other.

If you look at the mobs, and how they move, there is a hint of a formation there.

So i think it may be planned.

It's great that we are able to move in an X formation now. But that formation is not always the best for some of the locations. it would be nice if we had scroll button like the run/jog/walk one that would change the formation.
I would like a two by two column for traveling on roads.

I saw a huge marching formation of holy soldiers when i took one of their mines for a bit.

It was a lot of soldiers, just walking in an orderly straight line to teach me and my squad a lesson.

then the game crashed, and i decided to import a squad in a new game and do something different.
